In the sacred space between the mountains and forests of the border, the solemn bells rang out, opening the memorial service. The delegation, along with representatives of the local government and a large number of cadres, soldiers, veterans and people were present, expressing their gratitude and deep respect for those who sacrificed for the Fatherland.

In the eulogy, the leader of Vi Xuyen district emotionally emphasized: At the Vi Xuyen front, during the years of fighting to protect the northern border, our army and people were intelligent, resilient, fought with the will of "not moving an inch, not leaving a millimeter", determined to hold each high point, each hilltop, and cliff with the courageous spirit of "living on the rocks to fight the enemy, dying to become immortal in stone". More than 4,000 cadres and soldiers heroically sacrificed, most of them very young. The country remembers, the people are forever grateful to the children who did not spare their blood and bones to maintain the sacred sovereignty of the Fatherland.

After the eulogy, in a solemn tone, the funeral procession and burial of the six martyrs' remains were solemnly conducted. The six coffins, covered with the bright red national flag, were lowered into new graves in the cemetery grounds.
Senior Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh, local leaders and delegates were moved to drop fresh flowers on the graves, bidding farewell to the soldiers on their final resting place. Incense sticks and wreaths were respectfully offered, blending with the incense smoke spreading between heaven and earth, as an endless gratitude to the soldiers who sacrificed for the cause of protecting the Fatherland.

The remains of the 6 martyrs buried this time are newly collected remains in Thanh Thuy commune, Vi Xuyen district. The identities of the martyrs have not yet been determined. Authorities are continuing to conduct DNA tests and collect information to soon verify their identities and hometowns, meeting the wishes of their families, comrades and the people.

At the end of the ceremony, Senior Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh, on behalf of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, signed the traditional book at Vi Xuyen National Martyrs Cemetery, expressing his respect and deep gratitude for the heroic sacrifices of the heroic martyrs.
Senior Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh affirmed that all officers and soldiers of the entire army are willing to follow in the footsteps of previous generations, be absolutely loyal to the Party, the Fatherland and the people, and are determined to build a revolutionary, disciplined, elite, modern Vietnam People's Army, ready to fight and sacrifice for the cause of firmly protecting the socialist Vietnam Fatherland.
The memorial service and burial of martyrs at Vi Xuyen National Martyrs Cemetery ended solemnly but warmly. The incense sticks, flowers and vows today are a testament to gratitude, the connection between generations of soldiers in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland. They have incarnated into the country, living forever in the hearts of the nation.

At the Martyrs' Temple on High Point 468, which was once the fiercest battlefield in the fight to protect the northern border, Senior Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh and the delegation and leaders of Ha Giang province rang the bell, offered flowers and incense to commemorate the great contributions of the heroic martyrs.

Forty years ago, on this very land, thousands of cadres and soldiers fought steadfastly and bravely to defend every inch of the sacred land of the Fatherland. More than 4,000 of the country's outstanding sons heroically sacrificed their lives, their bodies merging with the motherland so that the Fatherland would be forever peaceful. Before the souls of the martyrs, the delegates respectfully bowed, observed a moment of silence and vowed to continue the heroic tradition, promote movements of gratitude, and contribute to building and firmly protecting the sovereignty and borders of the Fatherland.
