After his death, to pay respect to him, the local people set up an altar for him in My Tinh An communal house, 100m from where he was beheaded. In 1995, the Provincial Party Committee and the People's Committee of Tien Giang province invested in and built a temple next to his grave as it is today, and from then on it was called the temple of "Valedictorian Nguyen Huu Huan".

The temple of the first-ranked scholar Nguyen Huu Huan is located in Hoa Quoi hamlet, Hoa Tinh commune, Cho Gao district, Tien Giang province. The temple was inaugurated in 1995 with an area of nearly 7000m2.
