"Coming here, whether it's the rainy or dry season, the course is always in ideal condition thanks to good maintenance. The green speed is also impressive and stable on all 36 holes of the 4 ABCD courses," said Mr. Cao Minh Ngoc.
"A unique feature of Tan Son Nhat Golf Course is the long distance holes, for example, the 609-yard par-5 hole 3A," he shared. "At first glance, this hole offers a good opportunity for birdie. But in reality, the staggered bunkers and the OB stakes very close to the fairway can cause a lot of trouble for golfers. If you are not confident with your swing, caution is a good choice because the challenge still lies ahead, with the undulating green making it difficult to get the ball into the hole with just one putt."
Mr. Cao Minh Ngoc, who regularly plays golf here, said, "The sand traps at Tan Son Nhat Golf Course are quite deep." "I had a memorable experience at the par-5 7A. At 507 yards, to get the ball to the green in just two strokes required an ambitious, highly accurate drive, cutting the ball over a lake and 4 bunkers. This was followed by another perfect drive over the water and sand traps that hugged half the green. In the early days of playing here, my ball often landed in the bunkers instead of the green. So no birdies, I left this hole with a double bogey," he laughed.
As an experienced player, Mr. Cao Minh Ngoc commented that one of the most challenging holes at Tan Son Nhat Golf Course is the par-4 hole 6C. He explained: "The length of 396 yards makes this hole the shortest of the par-4 holes at Course C. This hole tees high above the fairway surrounded by water, sand and OB stakes. Even if the ball lands safely in a good position, getting the ball onto the green is very difficult when separated by a lake and 5 sand traps placed both in front and behind".
