Also attending were Ms. Ha Thi Nga, member of the Party Central Committee, President of the Vietnam Women's Union; leaders of central ministries, departments, branches and organizations.

The Nguyen Thi Dinh Award is a noble award of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union to honor Women's Union officials at all levels with outstanding achievements, awarded twice in one term. This year's award was presented to 30 Union officials, who are exemplary full-time Union officials at all levels, Vietnamese women of the new era, typical examples of promoting the fine traditions of Vietnamese women, actively studying and absorbing the fine values of the new era, demonstrating their talent, intelligence, desire to contribute and be creative; at the same time, inspiring generations of Union officials to continue to promote and contribute more to the women's movement and Union work, building an increasingly strong Union organization, contributing to the development of a prosperous and happy Vietnam.

At the ceremony, President of the Vietnam Women's Union Ha Thi Nga said that the first Nguyen Thi Dinh Award Ceremony and the commendation of outstanding district-level Women's Union Presidents nationwide were held solemnly and successfully, continuing to have a strong influence, conveying humane messages so that cadres, members, and women in all regions of the country continue to contribute their intelligence, talent, and creativity, affirming the role and contribution of the Union in the cause of national construction and development, realizing the core values of the Union, which are "Solidarity, Humanity, Creativity, Aspiration, Development"; at the same time, reminding each Union official to make more efforts to be able to continue the glorious 94-year tradition of the Vietnam Women's Union that generations of Union officials have worked hard to build.

Speaking at the ceremony, President Do Van Chien highly appreciated and welcomed the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union for its initiative to organize the Nguyen Thi Dinh Award to honor and commend specialized union officials at all levels with outstanding achievements, many initiatives and creativity in innovating the content and methods of operation of the union, and contributing to the union's work and the women's movement; and to honor 102 outstanding district-level Women's Union Chairmen. This event will have a far-reaching impact, encouraging all levels of the union and women nationwide to strive and successfully complete all assigned tasks.

According to Chairman Do Van Chien, women have a particularly important position and role in social life and in each family. Maksim Gorky said: "Without the sun, flowers cannot bloom... Without mothers, poets and heroes cannot exist". If the family is the cell of society, women are considered the nucleus of those cells. Along with the function of being a mother, keeping the fire of the home, preserving the race... Vietnamese women of all times have contributed their efforts and intelligence in all fields: Ba Trung, Ba Trieu rode elephants into battle; Sister Ut Tich is famous for her immortal saying: "While the hem of the pants is still fighting"; even the name of today's award is named after comrade Nguyen Thi Dinh, the heroic Vietnamese woman with the first female general rank, former Vice President of the State Council, former President of the Vietnam Women's Union... and many other names of Vietnamese women in all fields who have contributed to making the country famous. As beloved Uncle Ho praised: "The beautiful landscape of Vietnam is woven and embroidered by our women, young and old, to make it more beautiful and brilliant."

"In every revolutionary period, women have made worthy contributions to the cause of national liberation, national construction and defense, making a very important contribution to our country's foundation, potential, position and international prestige as it is today," emphasized Chairman Do Van Chien.

Pleased to see that, in the recent past, Women's Unions at all levels from the Central to local and grassroots levels have thoroughly grasped the Party's directives and resolutions, developed action programs suitable for each level of the union, actively innovated the content and methods of operation, and organized many practical and effective activities, Chairman Do Van Chien affirmed that Women's Unions at all levels have also closely followed the political tasks of localities, agencies and units, encouraged women and members to proactively and actively participate in patriotic emulation movements and major campaigns launched by the Party, State and Vietnam Fatherland Front. Along with that, Women's Unions at all levels have also played a good role as a bridge "closely connecting" between Party committees and authorities at all levels with women, blending the Party's will with the people's will, contributing to building the Party and the government; implementing social supervision and criticism, contributing to strengthening consensus, consolidating and promoting the tradition and strength of the great national unity bloc.

Congratulating and praising the outstanding achievements of women who have strived and achieved in the recent past, Chairman Do Van Chien said that in nearly 40 years of implementing the Party's renovation policy, our country has achieved many great and historic achievements; the position, prestige and potential in all aspects of our country have gathered all the elements to enter a new era - the era of national development. The important position and role of women are increasingly affirmed in all fields, women can do anything and do it well.

With that spirit, Chairman Do Van Chien hopes that all levels of the Women's Union and women nationwide will continue to promote the tradition of "Heroic - Indomitable - Loyal - Responsible"; Women's Unions at all levels will continue to thoroughly grasp the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, the Resolution of the 13th National Women's Congress, and the Resolution of the Women's Congresses at all levels for the 2022-2027 term. Review and supplement practical action programs suitable for each Union organization, improve the substance of the Union's activities, focus on the grassroots, and make the greatest effort to strive to excellently complete the goals and tasks of each quarter, each year and the entire term.

At the same time, closely follow the political tasks of each locality, agency, and unit, in each specific period, promote the intelligence and creativity of the collective and individuals, continue to organize and implement well the patriotic emulation movements, major campaigns launched by the Party, State, and Vietnam Fatherland Front and the 3 key tasks, 4 major groups of solutions identified by the 13th National Women's Congress. The implementation process needs to summarize, summarize, reward, commend, and replicate advanced models, creating a spreading effect for all levels of the Women's Union and the women's movement nationwide.

Chairman Do Van Chien also hopes that all levels of the Association, especially at the grassroots level, will proactively develop plans and actively respond to the emulation movement nationwide to join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025 launched by the Prime Minister and the Presidium of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, practically celebrating the 95th anniversary of the Party's founding, the 80th anniversary of the country's founding, and the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification. This is a program of profound humanity, which, when launched, received the consensus, support and attention of the whole society.

"In a very short time and during the launching ceremony on October 5, we received a budget of 5,932 billion VND. The thing we were most worried about was the lack of funding, but now we have the answer. The remaining problem is the implementation, how can we build Great Unity houses to give to those in difficulty, poor households, near-poor households, and I also believe that in practice, women will be very worthy contributors to this program. I hope that women will promote that spirit and we believe that we will succeed," Chairman Do Van Chien emphasized.

Chairman Do Van Chien requested Party committees at all levels, authorities, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations; all levels and sectors to continue to pay attention to leadership, direction, creating conditions in all aspects, coordinating actions so that the activities of all levels of women's unions and women's movements nationwide will develop more practically and effectively, meeting the expectations of the Party, society and women. In the immediate future, pay attention to arranging, trusting and assigning tasks to women participating in Party committees, People's Councils, People's Committees at all levels and National Assembly deputies to ensure the quantity and ratio according to regulations of competent authorities; at the same time, request the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union to continue to learn from good practices to promote and overcome shortcomings and limitations to maintain and expand forms of commendation of advanced models, especially awarding the Nguyen Thi Dinh Prize to become a prestigious award for cadres of the Vietnam Women's Union.
