With the aim of creating a foundation for further strengthening cultural cooperation on the basis of the newly established strategic partnership, Vietnamese Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung and Belarusian Minister of Culture Rustam Chernetskiy signed the Cultural Cooperation Program for the period of 2026-2028, in which they agreed to prioritize promoting cooperation in organizing Belarusian Cultural Days in Vietnam; Vietnamese Cultural Days in Belarus and cultural events; implementing many cultural exchange programs and activities, promoting the establishment of direct relations between agencies and film companies of the two countries, encouraging the organization of screenings of Vietnamese and Belarusian films; strengthening the development of cooperation in the field of performing arts and the exchange of art troupes; encouraging participation in cultural, artistic and international film festivals held in Vietnam and Belarus; developing cooperation in the fields of visual arts, photography and exhibitions; exchange information, promote the value of cultural heritage and natural heritage of the two countries; establish direct relations between libraries, museums, training facilities, and research institutes on culture and art of the two countries, promote cooperation in training high-quality human resources in the fields of culture and art...
During his visit to Belarus, Minister Nguyen Van Hung met and discussed with the Minister of Culture of Belarus. Both sides affirmed their consistent stance of continuously enhancing cultural cooperation between the two countries, considering this one of the important channels to consolidate the long-lasting friendship between the two peoples. In the coming time, the two sides will continue to promote cultural exchanges and cooperation on the basis of the strategic partnership agreed upon by the two countries' senior leaders.
In recent years, the two sides have focused on enhancing cultural exchange and cooperation between Vietnam and Belarus, with the organization of the Vietnam-Belarus Cultural Days many times. In addition, Belarus has paid attention to sending art troupes to participate in international art festivals and international film festivals organized by Vietnam, vividly demonstrating cultural cooperation and people-to-people exchange, and contributing to strengthening the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Belarus.
Based on the newly signed document, the two sides proposed a plan to organize activities in the next 3 years, with the highlight being the Vietnam Cultural Days in Belarus in 2027 to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and the Belarusian Cultural Days in Vietnam in 2028.
The signing of the Cultural Cooperation Program for the 2026-2028 period continues to be the basis for strengthening cultural exchange relations on the basis of the Vietnam-Belarus strategic partnership established during the visit of General Secretary To Lam ; contributing to the overall success of the visit, thereby affirming the role of cultural cooperation in Vietnam-Belarus relations, creating more solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Belarus in the new situation./.
