Continue to expand Vietnam - Indonesia educational cooperation

GD&TĐ - On October 29, Deputy Minister Le Quan received Mr. Denny Abdi - Indonesian Ambassador who came to say goodbye at the end of his term in Vietnam.

At the reception, Deputy Minister Le Quan congratulated Ambassador Denny Abdi on completing a successful term of office, and acknowledged his active efforts in promoting cooperation between Vietnam and Indonesia in many fields, especially in education and training.

The Deputy Minister congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment as Secretary General of the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and hoped that in any position, the Ambassador would continue to promote friendly and cooperative relations for the benefit of the people of the two countries, contributing to peace , stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.

Sharing about the recent innovations in the education sector in Vietnam, Deputy Minister Le Quan said that Vietnam is implementing many breakthrough policies to develop education and training, considering education as a key driving force for the country's development.

Suggesting areas of cooperation between the two countries such as artificial intelligence, semiconductors, STEM, foreign language teaching, and training cooperation, Deputy Minister Le Quan hopes that the Ambassador will continue to pay attention to, support, and promote educational cooperation between Vietnam and Indonesia in all fields, from preschool and general education to university and vocational education.

Ambassador Denny Abdi said that Indonesia and Vietnam have many similarities. Indonesia always considers Vietnam a traditional and close friend and always supports Vietnam at multilateral forums. In the coming time, the two sides will cooperate to promote the country's development to achieve the goal of becoming a high-income developed country by 2045.

The Ambassador thanked Deputy Minister Le Quan for sharing updated information on new policies in the education sector of Vietnam. He assessed that Vietnam is currently among the leading countries in ASEAN in applying information technology and developing STEM education.

With the advantage of young, abundant and working-age human resources of both countries, Ambassador Denny Abdi said that strengthening cooperation between Indonesia and Vietnam will bring practical benefits, helping both sides develop, exploit and share each other's strengths effectively.
