With a tradition of over 30 years of construction and development, and 50 years of training from its member schools, Da Nang University has always been a place for nurturing intellect and talent, contributing to the development of Central Vietnam, the Central Highlands, and the entire country.
The widespread impact of the Valedictorian Recognition Program
Continuously since 2012, through 14 editions, the Valedictorian Recognition Program of Da Nang University has served as a vibrant garden of academic excellence, research excellence, and personal development among students.
The numbers speak for themselves, vividly demonstrating the motto: "Putting the learner at the center": Over 120 valedictorians from member universities of Da Nang University were honored; over 100 outstanding new students admitted directly and achieving high awards in national and international student competitions were commended; over 500 outstanding students in various academic years were awarded; thousands of students with a spirit of overcoming difficulties and striving for excellence were awarded the Student Support Scholarship.

A highlight of the excellent academic and research achievements of Da Nang University students is their high-ranking performance in national and international competitions and awards. For example: For the first time, the student team from the University of Technology, Da Nang University, won the national championship of the ICPC Programming Contest, proudly representing Vietnam at the ICPC World Finals in Baku (Azerbaijan); First Prize in the Viet Future Innovation Award 2025; First Prize in the EPICS Community Service Engineering Project Competition 2025; Champion of the IoT Challenge 2025… These are beautiful examples, spreading the tradition of studiousness, creativity, and unwavering effort of students in Central Vietnam and across the country, according to a representative of Da Nang University's leadership.
For example, Le Thi Thu Nguyet, who was honored in the 2013 Valedictorian Award Ceremony at the University of Da Nang, went on to achieve full scholarships for master's and doctoral degrees at prestigious universities in the United States. After defending her doctoral dissertation in Applied Mathematics, Thu Nguyet developed a stable career at JP Morgan Chase & Co. (New York).
Creating a nursery for future young talents.
This year's Da Nang University Valedictorian Award Ceremony is especially significant as Da Nang University has just been selected by the Central Committee as one of four universities to receive priority investment, serving as a model for the Vietnamese higher education system. This is a great opportunity, a new era, coupled with a great mission and responsibility for Da Nang University to continue its great efforts and determination to become a National University, in line with the spirit of Resolution No. 26 and Conclusion No. 79 of the Politburo.

According to Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu - Director of Da Nang University, Da Nang University focuses on improving the quality of training and scientific research; proactively connects and cooperates with ministries, central and local agencies, businesses, high schools, and international partners; and fulfills its mission of providing high-quality human resources, prioritizing strategic technology fields for regional and national development.
The University of Da Nang consistently creates and improves a safe and healthy learning and living environment to help students develop their talents and abilities. Examples include: the Student Scientific Research Award, the Student Technology Startup Competition, the Young Innovators Festival, the English Proficiency Competition for Students, and the Valedictorian Recognition Program… This aims to develop an ecosystem for nurturing young talents and fostering students' aspirations to excel and master scientific and technological knowledge.
With its core values of "Quality - Innovation - Humanism - Social Service," continuing the tradition of studiousness, creativity, self-reliance, and self-improvement of Central Vietnam, Da Nang University leverages its potential and strengths, attracts more international lecturers and experts, and mobilizes resources from businesses and alumni to jointly create and nurture future young talents.
Reputable businesses that have consistently supported the university in promoting education and talent development include: the Vietnam Investment and Development Bank, Hai Van Branch, which annually awards over 500 million VND in scholarships to students through the "Program to Honor Top Students and Support Students"; DINCO Construction Engineering Joint Stock Company; and EVN CPC, a Central Power Corporation with leaders who are all former students of the University of Technology, Da Nang University, which annually award hundreds of millions of VND in scholarships to students.
This is a noble gesture, not only demonstrating social responsibility but also conveying a message to the students who are honored to receive scholarships from the company today: to continue striving, and in the future, when they achieve success, to return and support the next generation of students. This is a young, healthy, enthusiastic, and dynamic force ready to pioneer in learning, training, scientific research, and innovation, ready to contribute, grow, and become global citizens.
The Da Nang University's 2025 Valedictorian Recognition and Student Empowerment Program honored and rewarded nine valedictorians from member institutions in the 2025 admissions period, including: the valedictorian of the University of Technology, also the valedictorian of the A1 group in Da Nang city, with an IELTS score of 8.5; the valedictorian of the University of Education, also the valedictorian of the C group in Da Nang city; and four valedictorians from the University of Economics, the University of Foreign Languages, the Vietnam-Korea University of Information Technology and Communication, and the Vietnam-UK Research and Training Institute, all achieving a perfect score of 30 points…
The program honored and rewarded 32 outstanding students in the 2024-2025 academic year, of which nearly 50% achieved a perfect GPA of 4.0 out of 4.0; and awarded over 600 million VND in scholarships to students who overcame difficulties to excel in their studies and training.
