At the reception, Deputy Minister Le Quan affirmed that Vietnam always attaches importance to the traditional friendship and cooperation with the Federal Republic of Austria - a country with advanced education , focusing on practice and innovation.
In the context that Vietnam is implementing many breakthrough policies in education development, especially in the fields of digital transformation, artificial intelligence, STEM and high-quality vocational training, the Deputy Minister hopes that the two sides will strengthen comprehensive cooperation in education, training and scientific research.
Deputy Minister Le Quan highly appreciated the cooperation results and suggested that the Austrian side consider the possibility of negotiating and signing a comprehensive cooperation document at the ministerial level in the field of higher education and student exchange for the coming period.

The Deputy Minister also suggested expanding cooperation in industries with Austria's strengths and Vietnam's development needs such as hotels, catering, and elderly health care.
The Deputy Minister suggested that in the coming time, the two sides should strengthen cooperation in exchanging teachers and students in the fields of German language, music , culture and tourism; and exchange and organize summer courses for students.
At the meeting, Ambassador Philipp Agathonos thanked the Ministry of Education and Training for its interest in promoting bilateral educational cooperation, and affirmed that Austria is ready to accompany Vietnam in human resource training and educational technology transfer.
The two sides agreed to continue maintaining regular exchanges between agencies, universities and educational organizations, aiming at specific and substantive cooperation projects, contributing to the development of high-quality human resources and strengthening the friendly relations between the two countries.
The educational cooperation relationship between Vietnam and Austria was established in 2007 through a memorandum of understanding between the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training and the Austrian Federal Ministry of Science and Research. Although the scale of cooperation is still modest due to the decentralized nature of the Austrian education system, the two sides still maintain academic exchange activities, lecturer and student exchanges.
