The information was announced by the Dutch National Broadcasting Station NOS on June 13 without specifying the source. This is the result of a joint investigation by NOS with the Dutch news program Nieuwsuur, Die Zeit news agency and Germany's ARD.
Dutch National Television said that MIVD had at an early stage collected detailed information about Ukraine's plans to target the Nord Stream pipeline.
NOS revealed that Dutch military intelligence shared information about Ukraine's plans with the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) about 3 months before the Nord Stream pipeline was blown up.

Nord Stream, a gas pipeline from Russia to Europe, was sabotaged with explosives in September 2022. The US and its Western allies condemned the sabotage. Several European countries are investigating the incident.
The Dutch Military Intelligence Service, the CIA, the Dutch Embassy in the US and Ukraine have not yet commented on the information published by NOS. They also declined a request for comment from CNN (US).
CNN reported last week that the United States received intelligence from a European ally last year that Ukraine was planning to attack the Nord Stream natural gas pipeline, three U.S. officials told CNN.
Meanwhile, The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported on June 13 (US time) that the CIA warned Ukraine last year not to attack the Nord Stream pipeline. The warning was issued after the CIA received intelligence about Kiev's plans.
"The CIA received a tip-off from Dutch military intelligence," a US official familiar with the matter told The Wall Street Journal.
At the time of the Nord Stream pipeline damage, Ukraine denied any responsibility. A top adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the time even said that the suspicion that Ukraine sabotaged the Nord Stream pipeline was a "ridiculous conspiracy theory." Recently, the Ukrainian president continued to deny his country's involvement in the explosion.
