Hello!
Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is a common condition during pregnancy. The purpose of detecting GDM is to diagnose and control blood sugar levels, avoiding complications for mother and fetus, which can be controlled by changing diet, exercise or medication.
If your gestational diabetes is well controlled, don't worry too much. Just follow your endocrinologist's appointment schedule and adjust your diet according to your endocrinologist's instructions!
Regarding polyhydramnios, you need to monitor it further, because most of the time this condition is transient and then goes away, there is a small percentage related to fetal abnormalities or gestational diabetes. If it is simply polyhydramnios without the threat of premature birth or placenta previa, you can still go to work normally if the job does not require much movement, does not have to carry heavy objects, does not climb many stairs.
If you see any signs that make you feel uneasy, go see a doctor immediately.
Wish you and your baby good health!
