“Learn about Hat Boi art” at Ho Chi Minh City Museum

In order to contribute to preserving and promoting the traditional artistic values ​​of the nation and towards the celebration of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day on November 23, Ho Chi Minh City Museum organizes a thematic activity with the theme "Learning about Hat Boi art", introducing domestic and foreign visitors, city residents, especially students, union members and youth about Hat Boi art.

Artist Thanh Binh, Ho Chi Minh City Hat Boi Art Theater shares about Hat Boi.

At the program, students shared about the formation and development of Hat Boi art, the conventions, the meaning of costumes, makeup and character personalities in Hat Boi art.

Excerpts from the history of Hero Tran Binh Trong performed by artists at the program.

  Besides, students can enjoy classic Hat Boi excerpts such as: "On Dinh chops Ta" and "Hero Tran Binh Trong".

Artist Thanh Binh guides students through practical experiences with Hat Boi artists.

In particular, you can also participate in the activity "Try to be an artist", experience dance moves, try out the typical voice of Hat Boi, along with the space to experience mask decoration - a unique feature rich in conventions in Hat Boi art.

Through this program, Ho Chi Minh City Museum hopes to bring Hat Boi closer to the public, especially the young generation, and at the same time contribute to affirming the role of the museum in preserving the nation's intangible cultural heritage.
