The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has just issued the latest Northeast Monsoon bulletin and 10-day weather forecast, from the night of November 10 to November 20, for the whole country.

Accordingly, currently (November 10), the strong cold air mass is continuing to move south.

From the afternoon of November 12, cold air will affect the Northeast region.

It is forecasted that on land, around the afternoon of November 12, this cold air mass will affect the Northeast region, from the night of November 12 it will affect the Northwest and North Central regions, then affect the Central Central region. Northeast wind inland is strong at level 3, coastal areas at level 4-5, gusting at level 6-7.

From the night of November 12, the weather in the North and North Central regions will turn cold, with some mountainous areas in the North experiencing severe cold. During this cold spell, the lowest temperature in the North and North Central regions will generally be between 15-18 degrees Celsius, while in the mountainous areas of the North, it will be between 12-15 degrees Celsius, and in some high mountainous areas, it will be below 11 degrees Celsius.

At sea, from the afternoon of November 12, in the Gulf of Tonkin, the strong northeast wind will be level 6, then gradually increasing to level 7, gusting to level 8-9, with waves 2.0-4.0m high and rough seas; in the North East Sea (including the waters of the Hoang Sa archipelago), the strong northeast wind will be level 6, then gradually increasing to level 7, sometimes level 8, gusting to level 9, with waves 4.0-6.0m high and rough seas.

From November 13, the sea area from Quang Tri to Quang Ngai and the northern part of the Central East Sea will have northeast winds gradually increasing to level 6, gusting to level 7-8, waves 2.0-3.5m high, rough seas.

Warning: From November 12-13, the North will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some areas having moderate to heavy rain. From around the night of November 12 to November 17, the Thanh Hoa to Phu Yen area will have moderate to heavy rain, with some areas having very heavy rain and thunderstorms.

Thunderstorms may contain tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong winds.

The meteorological agency noted that thunderstorms accompanied by tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind can affect agricultural production, cause trees to fall, damage houses, traffic works and infrastructure.

Thunderstorms may cause tornadoes, lightning, hail, strong gusts of wind, flash floods on small rivers and streams, and landslides on steep slopes. Localized heavy rain may cause flooding in low-lying areas.

Strong winds and large waves at sea are likely to affect boat operations and other activities.

Low temperatures are likely to affect crops and livestock.

North Central region: rain in some places at night, fog in some places in the early morning, sunny during the day; on the afternoon of November 12, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms.

Other areas have scattered showers and thunderstorms; in the South Central Coast, Southern Central Highlands, and Southern regions, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening.

Weather forecast from night of November 12 to November 20

Northern region, from the night of November 12-13, the North will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally with moderate to heavy rain. From around the night of November 12, the weather will turn cold, with some mountainous areas experiencing severe cold.

Central region, from the night of November 12-17, there will be moderate rain, heavy rain, and in some places very heavy rain and thunderstorms. North Central region will turn cold around the night of November 12.

Southern region, from the night of November 12-17, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening.
