According to the Chairman of Lung Cu Commune People's Committee, since October, the number of visitors to Lung Cu has increased sharply, about 10,000 visitors/week, sometimes even 12,000-15,000 visitors/week.
Among them, Lo Lo Chai is the most attractive place after being honored by the United Nations Tourism Organization (UN Tourism) as "The best tourist village in the world ". This is also the peak season of buckwheat flowers, many attractive cultural experiences are organized by the locality.
Previously, information appeared on social networks that homestay room prices in Lo Lo Chai were 3-4 times higher than the listed price. After verification, Lung Cu commune said that some freelance brokers had collected rooms at homestays and then resold them at 2-3 times higher prices.
This group of brokers often deposits or buys rooms under the name of individual guests, then "locks" the rooms and advertises them for sale on travel groups, making it difficult for homestay owners to control.

After the incident, local authorities tightened management of accommodation service prices, requiring each homestay to sign a commitment not to cooperate with freelance brokers and not to sell rooms at prices other than listed prices. Inspection teams will regularly review price posting and implementation at the facility.
Lung Cu will organize village meetings, train people on price management, room sales skills and online transactions; monitor social networks to promptly detect accounts posting rooms at incorrect prices, and coordinate with relevant units to handle the situation.
The government recommends that tourists book directly with homestays, and will publish a standard price list for tourists to easily check. Warning information related to brokers raising prices will also be updated regularly.

Lo Lo Chai is located at the foot of Dragon Mountain, north of Lung Cu flagpole (old Dong Van district), and is considered by tourists as a "fairy tale village" thanks to its landscape and the unique culture of the Lo Lo people. From here, tourists can easily continue their journey to Lung Cu flagpole or the northernmost landmark.
On the occasion of Lunar New Year, visitors can join the New Year's Eve atmosphere of the Lo Lo people, sitting by the fire watching the pot of banh chung, sipping a cup of corn wine and listening to the story of "stealing fortune" at the beginning of the year.
