Business News - VNG and the Dream Creation Fund bring clean water to students in mountainous areas

The Dream Creation Fund (DMF), under the sponsorship of VNG , has just completed the well drilling and clean water system renovation project at Sa Tong Primary Boarding School No. 2, Muong Cha district, Dien Bien province.

Sa Tong Primary Boarding School No. 2 is located in one of the most difficult mountainous communes of Dien Bien province. In the past, ensuring enough clean water for daily activities of teachers and students was always a big challenge - especially during the peak months of the dry season, directly affecting school hygiene, personal activities and students' health.

To address this urgent need of the school, DMF has built a new well; renovated the water tank system of more than 20m³, and brought more than 320m of water pipes and electric wires to the school, with a sponsorship cost of nearly 67 million VND.

In particular, the school's staff and teachers directly participated in transporting materials, renovating water tanks, building protective panels for well mouths, supporting the pulling of water pipes and electric wires, etc.

Currently, the water project has been completed with a well system and pumps operating stably, providing abundant water flow of 2.4m³/hour, ensuring the tank is filled, meeting the continuous water needs of the entire school. The school's Board of Directors was moved to say that the clean water source will create favorable learning conditions, add motivation and help teachers and students feel secure when coming to school.

Previously, in early February 2025, DMF also accompanied Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund and partner units to hand over classrooms, sanitation facilities, and donate teaching materials and equipment to Sa Tong Kindergarten No. 2.
