The domestic coffee market remained stable in price on May 26, 2025. According to updated data, coffee prices in major production areas such as Dak Lak, Gia Lai and Dak Nong remained at VND 122,500/kg, unchanged from the previous day on May 23.
In Lam Dong, coffee prices are also stable at 122,000 VND/kg, with no fluctuations. This shows that the domestic coffee market is maintaining price stability, without major fluctuations.

The global coffee market has been witnessing a bearish trend over the past week, with both the major coffee varieties, Robusta and Arabica, recording significant declines on the futures exchanges.
On the London exchange, the July 2025 Robusta coffee contract closed at $4,790 a tonne, down $75, or 1.5%, from last week. The September 2025 contract also lost $74, down to $4,786 a tonne.
Similarly, on the New York floor, the Arabica coffee contract for July 2025 delivery fell 4.6 cents/lb (equivalent to 1.3%), to 361 cents/lb. The contract for September 2025 delivery lost 3.8 cents/lb, stopping at 358.7 cents/lb.
This is the third consecutive week of decline in world coffee prices, bringing the market to its lowest price since mid-April. The main reason is believed to be the increase in global coffee inventories, especially in Europe and the US, along with a positive forecast for Brazil's coffee output in the 2025/26 crop year, creating an early selling mentality. At the same time, the strong increase in the USD exchange rate also puts pressure on commodities traded in the greenback, including coffee.
At current prices, many coffee growers are facing a difficult season, with production costs remaining high while selling prices continue to fall. The general sentiment among growers is to “hoard” their coffee, hoping for a price increase in June or when new export contracts are signed.
