Bac Lieu converts the function of 2 student housing areas into social housing

Investment in expanding Phu Quoc International Airport

The Government issued Resolution No. 01/2025 dated June 1 on investment in expanding Phu Quoc International Airport.

The Government agreed to invest in expanding Phu Quoc International Airport to serve the 2027 APEC Conference in the form of business investment prescribed in the Investment Law.

The Government assigned the People's Committee of Kien Giang province to select domestic investors and organize the implementation of the investment project to expand Phu Quoc International Airport, ensuring that it is suitable for the nature of a joint civil-military airport, according to the request of the People's Committee of Kien Giang province in Document 1156 dated May 15.

The Government has delegated the authority to the People's Committee of Kien Giang province to approve the investment policy and adjust the investment policy for the Phu Quoc International Airport expansion project. At the same time, delegated the authority to the People's Committee of Kien Giang province to organize the appraisal and decide to approve the appraisal results of the environmental impact assessment report for the Phu Quoc International Airport expansion investment project.

Allowances for medical staff will increase, up to 70% of salary

One of the solutions to increase the effectiveness of health care, according to the Ministry of Health, is to develop policies to attract staff to work in primary health care and preventive medicine and adjust the preferential allowances for professional jobs with high infection rates to suit the actual situation.

The draft preferential allowance level according to profession is being widely consulted. The Ministry of Health proposes:

- The allowance level of 70% applies to : Officials assigned to regularly and directly examine, treat, test, care for, and serve people with leprosy, tuberculosis, mental illness, HIV/AIDS, and group A infectious diseases; Examine, treat, and care for patients in intensive care; Forensic examination, forensic psychiatry, pathological anatomy, and preservation and care of corpses;

Working in laboratories requiring biosafety level III; Monitoring HIV/AIDS prevention and control; Examination, testing, and treatment of opioid addiction. Medical professionals in communes in areas with particularly difficult socio-economic conditions; island districts and island communes in coastal areas; doctors working in communes in area II in ethnic minority and mountainous areas.

- The allowance level of 60% applies to : Officials assigned to examine, treat, care for, and serve people with infectious diseases (except group A infectious diseases); emergency patients (including out-of-hospital emergency); anti-poisoning; people with severe and especially severe disabilities; war invalids and sick soldiers;

Testing to determine infectious agents and toxins; Testing anti-rabies, tetanus and snake venom serums; Radiotherapy; chemotherapy; molecular biology; nuclear medicine; preparation and dosing of radioactive drugs and cancer treatment drugs; Border health quarantine; Monitoring and prevention of infectious diseases. Doctors working at commune and ward health stations; disease control centers of provinces and centrally run cities; preventive medicine institutes.

- 50% allowance applies to : Officers assigned to examine, treat, care for, and serve patients in anesthesia, resuscitation, diagnostic imaging, pediatrics, burns, dermatology, infection control; clinical pharmacy;

Medical professionals at commune, ward and town health stations; disease control centers of provinces and centrally run cities; preventive medicine institutes and addiction treatment facilities.

- The allowance level of 40% applies to : Testing officers; medical examination; medical treatment; patient care and service, rehabilitation; functional testing; medical appraisal; traditional medicine; production and preparation of pharmaceutical chemicals; preservation and dispensing of drugs and pharmaceutical ingredients;

Inspection, testing of drugs, vaccines, medical biological products, common chemicals, cosmetics; food safety, nutrition; use, operation, inspection, maintenance, repair, inspection, calibration of medical equipment; reproductive health; occupational health, environmental sanitation; preventive medicine; social assistance.
