Localities throughout the province stepped up military attacks in close coordination with the uprising of the masses, liberating communes, districts, and inner cities one by one. At exactly 10:30 a.m. on April 30, 1975, our army and people quickly entered Thu market, planted the Liberation Front flag on the roof of Phu Cuong Office and many enemy offices.
On April 30, 1975, the historic Ho Chi Minh campaign was completely victorious, the South was completely liberated, the country was united, and the country was filled with joy on the day of great victory. This was the greatest victory, ending 30 years of long and arduous war against foreign invaders of the Vietnamese people, opening a new era - the era of national independence and socialism throughout the territory of Vietnam.
