In recent years, the “ One Commune One Product ” (OCOP) Program has grown strongly, creating economic value and contributing to shaping the brand for each locality. Taking advantage of regional advantages, many OCOP products have been improved in quality, design, and increasingly diversified in types.

According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Ca Mau province, by the end of October 2025, the whole province had 343 products of 162 entities recognized as achieving OCOP ratings from 3 to 5 stars (including 2 5-star products, 75 4-star products and 266 3-star products). Currently, there are 27 effective OCOP product introduction and sales points; hundreds of products of 35 entities have penetrated supermarket systems inside and outside the province, even reaching international markets such as Australia, Korea, Japan, EU...

Ideal shopping destination with products processed from local agricultural products.

To continue to enhance the value of local agricultural products, the 2nd Ca Mau Crab Festival in 2025 is an ideal opportunity to bring OCOP products closer to consumers and tourists. Participating products must not only meet safety and quality standards but also demonstrate the unique identity of each region. This year's OCOP exhibition area has 40 provincial booths and 72 booths from more than 20 other localities.

Along the rows of booths, visitors can easily find typical products belonging to key groups such as: processed seafood, agricultural products, beverages, dried products, traditional cakes, handicrafts, etc. Each product is introduced with full information about its origin, production process and OCOP certification.

25 businesses from Ho Chi Minh City brought many products that received OCOP certification or startup awards.

Mr. Bui Viet Tan (Nguyen Phich commune, Ca Mau) excitedly shared: “This year we bring our main product, U Minh Ha cajuput forest honey. Tourists are very interested in safe products with traceable origins. In recent days, many tourists have suggested linking up to consume products, even opening tours to experience wild bees.”

Many visitors stopped to learn, buy products to try or as gifts. In particular, the presence of OCOP products from many other provinces and cities created diversity and brought new experiences to visitors.

Mr. Vu Ba Thom (Ho Chi Minh City) was excited when his honeycomb product was widely welcomed by tourists.

This year, participating units invested heavily in display forms: themed backdrops, brilliant lighting systems, creating a lively and attractive space.

Coming from Ho Chi Minh City, there are 25 businesses bringing many products that have been certified by OCOP or startup awards. Not only for business, they also hope to find and expand the consumer market in the future. Mr. Vu Ba Thom (Ho Chi Minh City) shared: "We come to the Crab Festival mainly to promote new products. Visitors are very curious about the honeycomb product because of its novelty and reasonable price."

The shopping atmosphere becomes bustling, especially in the evening when the number of tourists increases. Product testing, processing demonstrations, direct purchases… bring many interesting experiences. Consumers are also excited to share their feelings when hearing about the origin of the products, the meticulousness in each production stage - the values ​​that make up the essence of OCOP products.

The rich appearance of OCOP products at the Crab Festival not only increases the attraction of the event, but also spreads the cultural and economic values ​​of the locality.
