In his opening speech, comrade Ly Vi Trieu Duong, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ca Mau province, emphasized: With more than 365 thousand hectares of crab farming area, accounting for about 78% of the country's area, and an output of more than 36 thousand tons, accounting for about 53% of the national output, Ca Mau affirms its position as the "crab capital" of Vietnam.

Ca Mau crab not only contributes to bringing sustainable livelihoods to the people but also becomes a typical culinary brand of the southernmost land of the country. The organization of the Festival aims to honor the value of local cuisine, at the same time creating opportunities for localities to exchange, connect and cooperate, introduce OCOP products and regional specialties to tourists.

In the central area, artisans and chefs demonstrated the preparation of many special dishes from Ca Mau crab combined with specialties of other provinces and cities. With skillful hands and meticulous care, they created dishes that were both beautiful and attractive such as: crab sticky rice, Ca Mau crab hotpot with Ngoc Linh ginseng, five-color crab salad, crab cooked with gourd... The performance space brought visitors a delicious culinary experience, rich in the flavor of Ca Mau's rivers, while strengthening the solidarity between Ca Mau and other localities.

The promotion of crab dishes and specialties of provinces and cities took place from November 17 to 21, opening up opportunities to explore regional cultures through cuisine and traditional products, while creating a cultural playground for localities to strengthen cooperation and exchange experiences in promoting cuisine.
