On the occasion of this important milestone in the relationship between the two countries, Ms. María Del Carmen Pérez emphasized that over the past 30 years, the relationship between Vietnam and Paraguay has been nurtured with friendship, solidarity and constantly expanding cooperation.
From her practical experience as Honorary Consul of Vietnam in Paraguay since March 31, 2022 and the opening of the Consular Office in the capital Asunción on May 25, 2022, Ms. María Del Carmen Pérez realized that the two countries have many similarities in history and culture.
Both Vietnam and Paraguay are countries that have experienced many difficulties, but with a resilient spirit have overcome them to develop, bringing a prosperous life to the people.
Regarding the potential for bilateral cooperation, especially in the economic and trade fields, the Honorary Consul of Vietnam in Paraguay said that his visit to Vietnam in September-October 2023 opened up many positive perspectives on the potential for complementarity between the two economies.

Ms. María Del Carmen Pérez also shared about a symbolic activity, which is the construction of an open-air museum called “Aviadores del Chaco” in the tourist city of San Bernardino, 45 km from the capital Asunción.
She said the experience gained during her visit to historical museums in Vietnam had strongly inspired the development of this unique museum model. The museum's explanatory section will include a note acknowledging Vietnam's contribution in providing ideas and inspiration.
These activities not only mark the 30-year milestone of diplomatic relations, but also open a new chapter for deeper ties between Vietnam and Paraguay in many fields, from culture, education to trade and sustainable development.
