Attending the opening ceremony of the training course were leaders of the Ministry, leaders of the Department of Organization and Personnel, the Ministry Inspectorate and representatives of leaders of units under and directly under the Ministry; civil servants and public employees working in internal audit and internal control of units under and directly under the Ministry and reporters of the training course.
Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Vu Chien Thang delivered the opening speech of the training course.
In his opening speech, Deputy Minister Vu Chien Thang said that in recent times, realizing the important role of internal audit, the Ministry of Home Affairs has always paid attention to and promptly implemented this work at the Ministry, such as issuing internal audit regulations; internal audit procedures; internal audit plans; sending civil servants for training and professional development...). This is a new task, so during the implementation process, the Ministry also encountered difficulties in consulting and learning from experiences from other agencies and units.
Deputy Minister Vu Chien Thang emphasized that the internal audit training course organized by the Ministry today is very important and practical. Especially, in the context of Vietnam's increasingly developing and internationally integrated economy , the role of internal audit is increasingly important and highly appreciated.
Ensuring transparency and correctness in operations, assessing the completeness and effectiveness of governance, risk management processes, internal control processes, performance quality in implementing assigned responsibilities and making recommendations to achieve goals and objectives are extremely important factors to ensure the stability and development of agencies and units.
Therefore, the Training Course will equip the most basic knowledge and skills on internal control and risk management systems, from which it is possible to build, deploy and evaluate the effectiveness of the internal control and risk management systems at the Ministry of Home Affairs; equip the basic knowledge on internal audit regulations and standards in Vietnam and according to international practices; understand the stages in the audit process, carry out the work of making annual audit plans in a risk-oriented manner; apply audit techniques to conduct an audit; have the skills to write audit reports to report and communicate audit results effectively.
