Organizing activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Traditional Day and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just signed Decision No. 280/QD-TTg dated April 4, 2024 approving the Project on organizing activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam People's Public Security (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2025).

According to the Project, the organization's activities include: Propaganda,education , emulation and reward activities; cultural, artistic, physical education and sports activities; seminars, talks, meetings and exchanges; mass mobilization and gratitude activities; foreign affairs activities; activities to ensure security and order and build the People's Public Security force (CAND)...

Organize activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Public Security Forces Traditional Day (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2025).

In particular, the Prime Minister requested the Central Propaganda Department to direct relevant agencies to organize propaganda activities to celebrate the anniversary with the theme: "Building a truly clean, strong, disciplined, elite and modern People's Public Security Force"; "Building a position of people's hearts associated with a solid position of people's security" on the central and local media inside and outside the People's Public Security Force.

The Ministry of Public Security shall preside over and coordinate with the Ministry of Information and Communications and relevant units to mobilize artists and intellectuals nationwide to participate in composing and promoting literary, artistic and journalistic works with the theme "Security for Life"; organize specialized exhibitions (on-site and mobile) on the achievements of the People's Public Security Forces (achievements, feats, weapons, technical equipment, security industry, literature, art, journalism, etc.); key cultural, artistic, physical education and sports activities to celebrate the event, including organizing the "National Day for National Security Protection" in localities to attract the attention of the masses to the cause of protecting security, order and the People's Public Security Forces.

The Prime Minister also requested the Central Propaganda Department to direct and coordinate with the Ministry of Public Security, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, and the Truth National Political Publishing House to organize national-level scientific seminars and a number of specialized and thematic seminars; requested the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to direct and coordinate with the Ministry of Public Security and relevant units to implement key activities to help people build new rural areas, sustainably eliminate hunger and reduce poverty, "repay gratitude", and support the elimination of temporary housing for poor households, especially in localities with historical relics of the People's Public Security and revolutionary bases.

The Ministry of Public Security directed the Public Security of units and localities to organize meetings, present gifts, and honor representatives of meritorious people, relatives of martyrs, and senior police officers of all periods; and meet with former outstanding police officers on the occasion of the anniversary...

The Decision clearly states that the organization of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Public Security Day and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection must be comprehensive, extensive, and closely related to the functions and tasks of the People's Public Security, central and local ministries and branches in a solemn, economical, practical, effective, and appropriate manner; inheriting and promoting the results and experiences in preparing and organizing activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Public Security Day and the 10th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection and other solemn anniversaries in the People's Public Security.
