At the Da Nang Driving Test Center (Hoa Tho Tay Ward, Cam Le District) on the morning of May 6, 137 candidates were motorcycle students of the Da Nang Vocational Training Center for Car and Motorcycle Driving and 75 candidates took the test because their driving licenses had expired. All tests were conducted under the close supervision of the traffic police.

Mr. Nguyen Van Long (born in 1999, Cam Le district), a candidate participating in the exam, shared: “When I came to do the exam procedures, I was guided very enthusiastically and thoughtfully by the traffic police. Thanks to that, I saved time and felt more secure when participating in the exam”. Meanwhile, Ms. Tran Thi Ngoc Ha (born in 2000, Cam Le district) said: “I found the exam organized according to the correct procedures, from theory to practice, everything took place openly and transparently. The officers performed their duties very seriously, maintained a standard demeanor and enthusiastically supported the students”.

Mr. Le Van Dung (born 2002, Ngu Hanh Son district) said that allowing the traffic police to organize road motor vehicle driving tests will contribute to improving the quality of those granted driving licenses, thereby avoiding unexpected incidents when participating in road traffic, contributing to ensuring traffic safety.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Phan Van Thuong, Head of the Traffic Police Department, this is the first time the City Police have organized the first road motor vehicle driving test after taking over the task from the Department of Transport (formerly). In this test, the Traffic Police Department sent officers and soldiers who are examiners with sufficient capacity, qualifications, and professional training according to regulations, closely following the set requirements.

Colonel Tran Phong, Deputy Director of the City Police Department, said that Da Nang is the 7th locality in the country to organize a driving license examination according to the new functions and tasks of the police force. This is a great effort of the city police forces in receiving, advising, organizing and implementing the task and is the result of the attention and close direction of the Ministry of Public Security, the City People's Committee; the companionship and support of the Traffic Police Department, the Department of Construction and the professional departments of the Traffic Police Department in preparing conditions for infrastructure, software, vehicles, yards, and human resources to serve the examination and issuance of driving licenses.

According to Colonel Tran Phong, in the following examinations, the driving license examination council, especially the chairman of the council, will direct, thoroughly grasp, and organize the examination in accordance with legal regulations, ensuring publicity, transparency, objectivity, and accuracy; strengthen inspection and supervision of the implementation process to promptly detect, prevent, and strictly handle violations and negative behaviors. In addition, members of the examination council, especially the examiners, secretaries, technical and professional staff, strictly follow the prescribed procedures; promote the spirit of responsibility, objectivity, and impartiality so that the examination and issuance of driving licenses meet requirements, are effective, and practical. For candidates taking the examination, it is important to strictly comply with the rules and regulations, and comply with the instructions of the examination council; promote the spirit of self-awareness, honesty, and responsibility during the examination; Because all fraudulent and negative acts will be detected and strictly handled according to regulations.

“The Traffic Police Department needs to continue to promote its sense of responsibility, take the lead in coordinating with the Department of Construction, driving training centers and facilities and related units in the City Police to thoroughly prepare the content for the examination, continue to advise and organize the next examinations in a scientific manner, ensuring timely and quick resolution of the needs and legitimate interests of the people; thoroughly resolve the backlog of untested records for the people as soon as possible. At the same time, regularly review the examination team, select and assign training staff to upgrade driver's licenses to train and issue examination cards, ensuring enough examiners of all training levels to serve work requirements,” said Colonel Tran Phong.
