The only star is the star on the national flag
On the sidelines of the announcement ceremony of the political art program "Fatherland in the Heart" which will take place on August 10, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper Le Quoc Minh emphasized the idea throughout the program: That is to honor the Fatherland of Vietnam.
“When coming to concerts, audiences often expect the appearance of famous stars. But for us, “Fatherland in the Heart” has no ‘stars’, except for the single star on the national flag. We all come to the program to show gratitude and honor our beloved country,” he said.
Accordingly, the program is carefully invested in every step: from sound, light, stage to details such as invitation design. All are aimed at creating a harmonious, meticulous whole, meeting the increasingly high demands of the public.
In the context of so many performing arts activities today, to create a difference is not simple.

From the perspective of a journalist and a person passionate about art, comrade Le Quoc Minh believes that quality is a vital factor: “Even though it is an art and political program organized by a Party newspaper, we still set very high standards. We cannot compromise on quality just because it is a ‘political program’.”
The entire sound system is designed and installed at My Dinh Stadium according to international standards, with specific measurements at each stand location, to ensure consistent, realistic sound, bringing the best experience to tens of thousands of spectators. With that, Nhan Dan Newspaper hopes that the highest standards in performing arts will gradually become the new normal in Vietnam's musical life.
One of the most anticipated moments of the program is the singing of the National Anthem in unison. According to comrade Le Quoc Minh, this will be an unprecedented special experience, when tens of thousands of people wearing red shirts with yellow stars sing together in the vast space of My Dinh Stadium.

“The song ‘Marching Song’ has been deeply engraved in the minds of every Vietnamese person. But the moment when about 50,000 people sing it together, not because of stage effects, not because of arrangements, but because of natural emotions that well up from within, will certainly bring a rare experience in life,” comrade Le Quoc Minh acknowledged.
Musician Van Thao - son of the late musician Van Cao - said that the national anthem performance by tens of thousands of people at the program will be an emotional and meaningful performance. According to him, the song 'Tien Quan Ca' has long been not only the national anthem of the country, but also a symbol deeply attached to the hearts of every Vietnamese person.
"The National Anthem itself belongs to the people and the people also love the National Anthem very much" - Musician Van Thao.
He emphasized that the sacred affection that the people have for the red flag with yellow star and for the "Marching Song" is something that the world must respect and admire. Whether in international sporting events or other glorious moments, the image of Vietnamese athletes wearing the national flag and singing the national anthem is always a proud moment.
Musician Van Thao recounted that his own father once affirmed: Tien Quan Ca is a song for the people, and must be given to the people, to the country. He said: “My father believed that this song cannot belong to anyone. It is the voice of the whole nation, the heroic song of patriotism.”
The resonance between music and national spirit in the choir performance at the program will continue to affirm the immortal value of 'Tien Quan Ca', as a sacred symbol connecting millions of Vietnamese hearts.
Music to connect and spread national spirit
Sharing about the highlight of the program, General Director Dang Le Minh Tri affirmed that this will be a truly national concert, where audiences of all generations can join in the beat of their patriotic hearts.
"We want to create a rare space where grandparents, parents and children can all enjoy, be moved and be proud together" - General Director of the program Dang Le Minh Tri

The next highlight, according to him, is the iconic stage at My Dinh National Stadium, where the giant V symbolizing Vietnam and victory appeared for the first time. This special stage is a strong emotional message, right from the first sight, to the audience attending.
Regarding the music, Mr. Tri emphasized that this will be a special "rebirth". All selected musical works, whether they are timeless songs or contemporary songs, will be newly arranged.
The songs will retain their original spiritual values, but at the same time have a modern feel, creating a strong connection between generations. The combined performances of veteran and young artists will create a unique appeal, hopefully bringing pride and emotion to the audience.

Regarding the process of creating the music, producer Nguyen Huu Vuong - Music Director of the program said that the first thing he and his crew cared about was the audience.
Unlike art programs that are usually aimed at a specific audience, Fatherland in the Heart is a program for the whole population, for all generations from the elderly to the young. That has posed a great challenge in choosing a way to express music in a harmonious, close way while still carrying the breath of the times.
“With such a large-scale political art program and diverse audience, I have to balance my musical thinking. The music must be inspiring enough for all generations, but at the same time, it must be fresh and creative enough for listeners to feel close and excited,” Mr. Nguyen Huu Vuong shared.
Accordingly, the program will select immortal songs, mostly revolutionary songs praising the Fatherland, associated with heroic periods of the nation, but renewed with a modern spirit.
Innovations in mixing and mastering, especially the inclusion of electronic elements in moderation, will help breathe new life into familiar songs, making them not only sound grand but also full of energy and inspiration.
“Music must make the audience feel proud. It must evoke in them memories of the glorious past and faith in a bright future. That is how music can energize both the audience and the artists to join in the atmosphere of the show,” Mr. Huu Vuong emphasized.

Working together to create different values
The process of accompanying Nhan Dan Newspaper to organize the program "Fatherland in the heart" left a deep respect for the program's General Director Dang Le Minh Tri.
According to him, this is not only a collaboration to organize a large-scale art program, but also a journey with a brave press agency, always a pioneer in propaganda work, especially in spreading humanistic values to the public nationwide.
“We are truly honored to work with Nhan Dan Newspaper, a collective that is not only strong in journalism expertise, but also extremely profound in artistic emotions and social responsibility,” Mr. Dang Le Minh Tri shared.
He said that the journalists of Nhan Dan Newspaper are always close to reality, have a deep understanding of the messages that need to be conveyed in the context of the country, and especially always dedicate emotional spaces to connect with the people. That is what has helped the program's organizing team find empathy and clear direction in the artistic creation process.
“What impressed us most was that, despite their busy schedules, the journalists always took the time to discuss, debate, give feedback, and accompany the crew throughout the program preparation process. These discussions not only ensured a profound political orientation, but also helped the program better connect with the people’s emotions,” the director emphasized.
For Mr. Dang Le Minh Tri, the spirit of connection and resonance between art and propaganda, between creativity and social responsibility, between the official press agency and the team of artists and directors, is proof of the leading and spreading role of Nhan Dan Newspaper in the flow of modern culture.
“Nhan Dan Newspaper not only propagates the Party and State's policies, but also always goes deep, stays close to life, accompanies the people and inspires creativity for artists like us,” director Minh Tri acknowledged.
