Seminar to celebrate the traditional day of Vietnam Science and Technology

Accordingly, on May 18, 1963, President Ho Chi Minh, on behalf of the Party Central Committee and the Government, attended and congratulated the first National Congress of the Vietnam Association for Dissemination of Science and Technology.

In his speech, he summarized the most important arguments on the development of science and technology in our country, and at the same time, assigned both difficult and glorious tasks to Vietnamese science and technology intellectuals.

Analyst: We all know that our current level of science and technology is still low. Production methods have not been improved much. Working methods are still hard. Labor productivity is still low. There are still many backward customs and practices,... Therefore, the task of science is to strive to improve those things. Science is the summary of the experiences of the struggle between the exploited class and the exploiting class and the struggle between humans and nature, here we are only talking about natural science and technology.

At the same time, President Ho Chi Minh emphasized: "Science must come from production and must return to serve production, serve the masses, in order to increase labor productivity and constantly improve people's lives, ensuring the victory of socialism."

To promote the spirit and responsibility of the social community towards the cause of science and technology, honor the labor, creativity and dedication of the Vietnamese scientific and technological intellectuals, at the 5th Session of the 13th National Assembly, the Law on Science and Technology was passed, unanimously choosing May 18 every year as Vietnam Science and Technology Day.

In Nghe An province, in recent years, the province has focused on implementing many solutions to develop science and technology potential, promote research, testing, development and application of science and technology in many fields of socio-economy, security, national defense,...

The Science and Technology sector, in its role as State manager, has identified many action programs and actively advised the Provincial People's Committee to issue a number of policies to encourage and support organizations and individuals in researching and applying science and technology, improving productivity and quality of products, goods and services in the province.

Vietnam Science and Technology Day is a festival to honor scientists, introduce research results and technological development, promote the application of science and technology in production. Not only that, this is also an opportunity to raise awareness and arouse pride in Vietnamese intelligence, the spirit of passion for work and creativity among all classes of people, especially the young generation of Vietnam in the cause of national development.

The seminar aims to widely disseminate the achievements of science and technology, innovation and creativity in the province.

At the same time, this is an opportunity to honor scientists, raise awareness and arouse pride in intelligence, passion for research, application of science, technology, labor, and creativity among all classes of people, cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers, entrepreneurs, especially the young generation in the process of building Nghe An province into a Center for Science and Technology in the North Central region in the spirit of the 19th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020-2025 and Resolution No. 39 of the Politburo.
