The entire army supported the elimination of more than 17,000 temporary and dilapidated houses.

On the afternoon of June 27, the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army held a conference to evaluate the results of the implementation of the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses of the Army in 2025. The conference was held in a combination of in-person and online formats. Lieutenant General Truong Thien To, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army chaired the conference.

In order to carry out the movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide, agencies and units of the entire army have closely coordinated with Party committees, authorities, departments, branches, organizations, press agencies inside and outside the army to promote propaganda to raise awareness for cadres, soldiers, workers, employees and people in implementing the emulation movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide, with the spirit of "Mutual love and affection", "The whole leaf covers the torn leaf", each house is "A gift", "A warm home", "A love". Up to now, the entire army has mobilized and supported funding to build and repair 17,000 houses, with a total amount of more than 895 billion VND (excluding the number of houses under Project 80).

In addition, to improve the quality of each house and reduce construction costs, the Army mobilized more than 86,000   Officers, soldiers, militia and self-defense forces participated, with nearly 300,000 working days and over 2,000 vehicles to support localities in speeding up progress, building, and eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses.

Concluding the conference, Lieutenant General Truong Thien To commended the results and achievements of agencies and units in implementing the movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses. Lieutenant General Truong Thien To requested: Party committees and commanders at all levels continue to thoroughly grasp and seriously and drastically implement the Prime Minister 's telegrams and instructions; especially Telegram No. 84, determined to complete the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide before August 31, 2025; in which, supporting houses for relatives of martyrs and people with revolutionary contributions must be completed before July 27, 2025...

In implementation, agencies and units closely coordinate with Party committees, authorities, Fatherland Front Committees, socio -political organizations of provinces and cities to grasp the situation, conduct surveys, select, and promptly provide financial support to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses; build gratitude houses, comrade houses, and great solidarity houses; help soldiers, workers, defense officials, laborers in the armed forces and poor households, near-poor households in difficult circumstances, without housing or with dilapidated, degraded housing, severely damaged by natural disasters, ensuring strictness, synchronization, timeliness, and effectiveness. Ensure the viewpoint: "6 clear: Clear people, clear work, clear responsibility, clear authority, clear time, clear results" and "4 truths: Speak the truth, do the truth, achieve real results, and let people enjoy real benefits". At the same time, promote propaganda work on mass media, creating high consensus and unity among all classes of people; mobilize the active participation of forces and organizations in terms of both human and material resources to quickly eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses across the country, with the spirit of "whoever has something helps, whoever has merit helps merit, whoever has property helps property, whoever has a lot helps a lot, whoever has a little helps a little".
