(CPV) – The 2024 Energy Efficiency Product Award has 12 enterprises awarded the Leader Cup. At the same time, 19 projects, including 8 new projects and 11 renovation projects, were selected to receive the 2024 Energy Efficiency in Construction Award.
On December 20, the Ministry of Industry and Trade coordinated with the Vietnam Energy Conservation and Efficiency Association (VECEA) to organize the 2024 Energy Efficiency in Industry and Construction Awards Ceremony; the 2024 Highest Energy Efficiency Product Award.

Attending the ceremony were representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade; VECEA; Vietnam Electricity Group; representatives of a number of associations, research institutes, Departments of Industry and Trade; industrial enterprises, buildings, units, individuals who won awards, and many press and television agencies.
Speaking at the award ceremony, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hoang Long said that the use of energy economically and efficiently has been receiving attention from the Party and State leaders and is considered one of the important pillars to ensure energy security as well as help the energy sector develop sustainably. Resolution No. 55/NQ-TW dated February 11, 2020 of the Politburo on the Energy Sector Development Strategy to 2030, with a vision to 2045, clearly stated: "Energy saving (E) must be considered an important national policy and the responsibility of the whole society". Green transformation through efficient use of energy is an important solution for Vietnam to develop sustainably, moving towards the goal of net zero emissions by 2050.

Contributing to the above objectives, the Ministry of Industry and Trade in coordination with the Vietnam Association for Science and Technology of Energy Conservation and Efficiency organizes the following awards: Energy Efficiency Award in Industry - Construction Works and the Award for the Highest Energy Efficiency Product. The awards are held annually.
“The awards are held to recognize and honor businesses operating in the field of industrial production and typical construction works in implementing solutions for energy saving and efficiency. At the same time, to promote and encourage businesses to implement advanced management and technology solutions to bring to the market products with outstanding technical features, high energy efficiency, and energy saving,” emphasized Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hoang Long.

Representing the Vietnam Association for Science and Technology of Energy Conservation and Efficiency - the host of the awards in recent years, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hiep - Chairman of the Association also highly appreciated the quality of the entries for this year's awards. Mr. Hiep said: The 2024 energy efficiency awards have reached more than 800 units nationwide. The Organizing Committee also received a total of 279 sets of competition documents, including the Energy Efficiency in Industry Award, the Energy Efficiency in Construction Award and the Highest Energy Efficiency Product Award.
“With a large number of applications for the awards, the Organizing Committee has classified and evaluated the applications in accordance with the regulations and rules that have been issued. In general, the applications prepared by the enterprises are detailed and clear with many specific supporting evidences. The members of the Jury have been very fair and transparent in evaluating and selecting the most deserving units, products and individuals to be honored at the award ceremony,” affirmed Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hiep.

The 2024 Top Energy Efficiency Product Award has 12 enterprises awarded the Leader Cup. The list of 145 Top Energy Efficiency products certified by the Ministry of Industry and Trade is posted at https://tietkiemnangluong.com.vn/top-runner to help consumers easily look up information.
19 projects, including 8 new projects and 11 renovation projects, were selected to receive the 2024 Energy Efficiency in Construction Award.
Eleven industrial enterprises were selected to receive the 2024 Industrial Energy Efficiency Award. The award also honored 16 individuals who are energy managers with excellent and good achievements in energy management at the enterprise.
According to the Organizing Committee, this is the 5th consecutive year the awards have been launched. Many effective and replicable solutions have been discovered and widely communicated to the business community. Through the awards, businesses affirm their brand reputation, enhance competition between businesses in the race to meet market demand and customer tastes in the direction of greener and smarter consumption.
