More than 100 documents and images here introduce to the public the cultural values of Co Loa land, at the same time it is a practical activity to honor the historical and cultural values of Co Loa, contributing to educating the tradition of patriotism and awareness of heritage protection for today's and future generations.
With three main themes: Colors of Co Loa intangible cultural heritage; Quintessence of a thousand years, Living forever with time , the exhibition opens to serve visitors from November 21 at the Co Loa Relic Site Exhibition House, Chua Village, Dong Anh Commune, Hanoi .
Over more than 2,000 years of history, Co Loa was chosen many times as the capital of Vietnam during the reign of An Duong Vuong (3rd century BC), the reign of Later Ly Nam De (6th century) and the reign of Ngo Quyen (10th century).
Not only an ancient political-military center, Co Loa is also a place where unique values of architecture, military technology, material and spiritual culture of the Vietnamese people converge.
In addition to the massive tangible cultural heritage system, Co Loa also preserves a rich treasure of intangible cultural heritage, including the Co Loa Festival, sacrificial rituals, legends, social customs, folk performing arts, cuisine and traditional crafts. All create a vivid cultural picture, reflecting the soul and unique identity of the thousand-year-old land of Thang Long-Hanoi.
