General Secretary To Lam receives leaders of several major companies of the Russian Federation

According to the special correspondent of VNA, within the framework of the official visit to the Russian Federation and the celebration of the Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War, on the morning of May 11 (local time), General Secretary To Lam had a meeting with a number of typical enterprises in the Russian Federation.

*Receiving Mr. Kudryashov Sergei Ivanovich, General Director of Zarubezhneft Joint Stock Company, one of Vietnam's leading partners in the oil and gas sector, General Secretary To Lam said that energy and oil and gas cooperation is one of the most important pillars in the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and the Russian Federation. Cooperation between the two sides in the oil and gas sector is a vivid demonstration of the combination of the intelligence and technology of the Russian Federation and the will and aspiration for development of Vietnam.

Expressing his honor to meet General Secretary To Lam and sincerely thanking the General Secretary for taking the time to receive the delegation, Mr. Kudryashov Sergei Ivanovich, General Director of Zarubezhneft Joint Stock Company, said that Zarubezhneft Joint Stock Company is a strategic partner of the Russian Federation with more than 40 years of experience, cooperating with the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PVN) to implement oil and gas exploitation projects on the continental shelf of Vietnam and in the Russian Federation; affirming that the cooperation projects are being implemented very effectively by the two enterprises.

In addition, Mr. Sergey Kudrashov also said that the two sides are currently coordinating to develop natural gas projects and LNG warehouse projects to build a modern liquefied gas supply chain to serve the Vietnamese and regional markets, while promoting research and implementation of renewable energy projects such as offshore wind power and green hydrogen... Zarubezhneft leaders affirmed their desire to promote sustainable and long-term cooperation with Vietnamese partners, and at the same time asked the General Secretary to continue to pay attention and create favorable conditions for Zarubezhneft Joint Stock Company to expand the scope of cooperation on the basis of harmonizing interests and for the common development of the two countries.

The General Secretary welcomed the cooperation results between Zarubezhneft Joint Stock Company and the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PVN) in recent times, and acknowledged the effective coordination between the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Russian Ministry of Energy in general, and Russian companies with Vietnamese partners. The General Secretary affirmed that Vietnam always supports businesses of the two countries to expand cooperation on the basis of each country's laws and the Vietnam-Russia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

The General Secretary emphasized that Vietnam always attaches importance to promoting economic - trade, scientific - technical cooperation with leading enterprises and investors of the Russian Federation, including AFK Sistema Public Joint Stock Company.

Expressing his honor to meet General Secretary To Lam, Mr. Vladimir Yevtushenkov said that AFK Sistema Public Joint Stock Company was established in 1993 and is one of the largest multi-industry private investment enterprises in the Russian Federation. The Company's fields of operation include: telecommunications, information technology, semiconductors, e-commerce, healthcare, agriculture, construction, hotels and tourism...

At the meeting, the leaders of AFK Sistema Public Joint Stock Company informed about the projects that the Company is implementing in Vietnam and the projects that are expected to be implemented in the near future. Mr. Vladimir Yevtushenkov emphasized that AFK Sistema identifies Vietnam as one of the Company's top priority markets in the region and is ready to expand long-term investment cooperation in Vietnam.

General Secretary To Lam said that Vietnam always listens and creates the best conditions for foreign enterprises, including those from the Russian Federation, to do business and invest in Vietnam; and requested that Vietnamese ministries and branches pay attention and closely coordinate with AFK Sistema Public Joint Stock Company to support the Company in soon implementing related investment projects in Vietnam. The General Secretary affirmed that Vietnam will create favorable conditions for AFK Sistema to soon implement cooperation projects in Vietnam, especially in the fields of information technology, semiconductors, healthcare, high technology, etc. in line with the orientation of breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation.

*Receiving Mr. Yuri Maximo, co-founder of Positive Technology Company, the General Secretary welcomed the Company as a potential destination for investment and cooperation projects, especially in the field of cyber security. The General Secretary affirmed that during this official visit, the two countries signed many cooperation documents, including in the field of science and technology, which is an important basis for businesses and ministries of the two countries to coordinate in the coming time.

Mr. Yuri Maximo thanked the General Secretary for taking the time to meet him and said that cyber security is not a problem of any particular country but a global issue. Emphasizing that science and technology are constantly developing, Mr. Yuri Maximo said that the Company always focuses on updating and introducing new approaches to ensuring cyber security; thereby constantly changing products and services that are different from the market.

Informing the General Secretary about some outstanding results in the cooperation process with a number of Vietnamese enterprises in recent times, Mr. Yuri Maximo expressed his hope that the Party, State and Government of Vietnam will continue to support and create favorable conditions for the company to participate in a number of projects in the field of science and technology, thereby continuing to strengthen the solidarity between the people of the two countries.

Welcoming the Company's approach to ensuring cybersecurity, the General Secretary emphasized that with the advantage of Russia's active support in training tens of thousands of Vietnamese people in the field of science and technology, General Secretary To Lam affirmed that he would direct the relevant agencies to consider supporting the Company in finding information and suitable partners in Vietnam.

* Receiving the Chairman of the Sea Council, former Secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolai Patrusev, General Secretary To Lam congratulated Russia on its many achievements in all fields, and the successful organization of the 80th Anniversary of Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War. The General Secretary also said that he had a very successful meeting with President V. Putin, as well as meetings with Russian leaders, hoping to further promote the relationship between the two countries.

Mr. Patrusev was pleased to meet General Secretary To Lam again during his visit and attended the Anniversary Ceremony, highly appreciated the significance of the visit, congratulated the General Secretary and the Vietnamese people on successfully organizing the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day, and emphasized that Russia is always proud to contribute to the victory of the heroic Vietnamese people during the resistance war.

Mr. Patrusev said that the two countries have implemented many projects in the fields of defense, security, and health, and hope to cooperate closely in the maritime field. Regarding the functions and tasks of the Maritime Council, Mr. Patrusev suggested that Vietnam cooperate with the Maritime Council, contributing to maintaining maritime security and safety in the Pacific, respecting international law; participating in organizing naval exercises, search and rescue, and shipbuilding.

General Secretary To Lam highly appreciated Mr. Patrusev's sentiments towards Vietnam. The General Secretary basically agreed with the proposed initiatives. Emphasizing that this is a good opportunity to develop maritime cooperation between the two countries, the General Secretary suggested continuing discussions to set out a specific schedule, as well as signing cooperation agreements not only in the military field but also in the comprehensive fields of maritime economy, shipbuilding, logistics, connection with the Russian Federation's maritime transport system, scientific research, and response to non-traditional security challenges./.
