Of which, rice is 67,000 ha; corn is 43,300 ha; root crops (sweet potatoes, cassava) are 44,960 ha; beans of all kinds are 20,970 ha; sugarcane is 12,500 ha; green vegetables are 4,830 ha, sesame is 1,500 ha; other annual crops are 6,840 ha. Planting time starts from around May 10 to June 10.

Farmers in some localities have begun preparing the land to sow the 2025 Summer-Autumn rice crop.
Farmers in some localities have begun preparing the land to sow the 2025 Summer-Autumn rice crop.

In particular, in areas with early rain, it is necessary to prepare the land and plant seeds when the soil is moist enough. Areas with forecasted late rain often suffer from early-season drought (M'Drắk district and the eastern part of the province) need to strengthen propaganda work widely on mass media so that farmers know not to sow early, sow before the rain, which can easily cause drought and lose seeds. Farmers should be advised and guided on crop rotation, intercropping, and intercropping measures to take advantage of the next Autumn-Winter crop production as soon as possible.

As for rice, areas with water resources should focus on sowing from May 10 to June 10, prioritizing the use of high-quality rice varieties and applying advanced cultivation programs such as "three reductions, three increases", "one must, five reductions". Areas without water resources should prepare the land for sowing as soon as possible, paying attention to low-lying fields, sowing as early as possible and using short- or medium-term pure rice varieties (90 - 95 days) to be able to harvest before August 30, avoiding heavy rain and flooding.

For crops such as corn, beans, and cassava, it is recommended to use short- or medium-term varieties that are resistant to pests and diseases. It is especially important to note that the eastern regions of the province and M'Drắk district often have late rains, so it is necessary to propagate people not to sow early to avoid drought at the beginning of the season.

The Department of Agriculture and Environment requested the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to proactively develop detailed plans for their localities, based on actual climate, soil and water conditions to arrange the crop season and select suitable crop varieties. At the same time, the Department also directed to strengthen inspection and examination of agricultural materials to ensure production quality...
