Hotline 112 receives information about incidents, natural disasters, and catastrophes.

The National Civil Defense Steering Committee has just issued Document No. 428/VP-KH on informing and propagating the 112 phone number to receive information about incidents, natural disasters, catastrophes, risks, and requests for assistance from organizations and individuals nationwide.

Implementing Decision No. 2023/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister on using the 112 telephone number to receive information about incidents, natural disasters, catastrophes, risks, and requests for assistance from organizations and individuals nationwide (Switchboard 112); Decision No. 2024/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister on promulgating the Regulation on using the 112 telephone number to receive information about incidents, natural disasters, catastrophes, risks, and requests for assistance from organizations and individuals nationwide, the Office of the National Civil Defense Steering Committee requests agencies and organizations to widely disseminate information and propaganda about Switchboard 112 to the people, contributing to minimizing damage to people and property of the State and people.

During the implementation process, if agencies, organizations and people have any problems, please promptly report to the Office of the National Civil Defense Steering Committee for synthesis and reporting (address of the Office of the National Civil Defense Steering Committee: No. 8, Golf Course Road, Long Bien Ward, Hanoi City); send documents on the National Document Interconnection Axis, access link https://vpdt.vnptioffice.vn/qlvbdh/main; the identification code on the National Document Interconnection Axis is 41.

On September 15, 2025, the Prime Minister signed Decision No. 2023/QD-TTg on using the 112 phone number to receive information about incidents, natural disasters, catastrophes, risks, and requests for assistance from organizations and individuals according to the provisions of Decree No. 200/2025/ND-CP of the Government; at the same time, Decision No. 2024/QD-TTg promulgating the Regulations on the use of the 112 phone number.

Switchboard 112 is located at the Standing Office of the Civil Defense Command of provinces and centrally-run cities (Provincial Military Command) to receive and process information, operating 24/7 nationwide; organizations and individuals are exempted from charges for landline calls, mobile calls, text messages and multimedia calls to Switchboard 112.

Organizations and individuals providing information about incidents, natural disasters, catastrophes and search and rescue only need to call 112 to be directly connected to the Standing Office of the Provincial Civil Defense Command for timely reception, support and handling.

For the sake of the lives and properties of the State and people, and responsibility to the community, organizations and individuals are requested to provide true information about incidents, natural disasters, catastrophes, and search and rescue; and request assistance.
