Summary of tourism development linkage between Ho Chi Minh City and the Northeastern provinces

On the afternoon of April 3, in Ho Chi Minh City, a ceremony was held to summarize tourism development cooperation activities between Ho Chi Minh City and the Northeastern provinces for the period 2024-2025.

In the period of 2024-2025, Ho Chi Minh City and 8 Northeastern provinces including Quang Ninh, Bac Kan, Bac Giang, Cao Bang, Lang Son, Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, Vinh Phuc have increased the provision and exchange of information on planning, long-term plans, and tourism activities. Based on the development potential of each locality, the joint group has selected new typical tourism products to introduce to tourism businesses for exploitation and introduction to domestic and foreign tourists. At the same time, connecting businesses between provinces and cities to organize surveys and build tours and tourism routes.

At the conference, 9 provinces and cities agreed on a number of key tasks in tourism development linkage work such as: Continuing to build mechanisms and policies to encourage tourism development, especially after completing the merger and streamlining of the staffing apparatus. In particular, focusing on researching, building, and renewing unique tourism products and expanding the tourist market; building separate promotion strategies for each product, tour, and linkage route; bringing linkages between local tourism businesses into the linkage plan in the new period; promoting the application of digital transformation technology in cooperation, promotion, communication, and tourism promotion activities, especially on cyberspace platforms; connecting in cultural, sports, and music activities to promote tourism activities...
