Can Tho City: Appointing key personnel of the Land Fund Development Center

On the morning of July 28, Can Tho City People's Committee held a conference to announce the decision on personnel work at the City Land Fund Development Center.

Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee Tran Chi Hung presented flowers to congratulate newly appointed officials.

Accordingly, Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee Tran Van Lau signed a decision to appoint Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tao, former Acting Director of Can Tho City Land Fund Development Center, to hold the position of Deputy Director of Can Tho City Land Fund Development Center. At the same time, appoint Mr. Truong Thanh Dat, former Deputy Director of Can Tho City Land Fund Development Center and Mr. Le Van Thanh, Deputy Director of Hau Giang Province Land Fund Development Center, to hold the position of Deputy Director of Can Tho City Land Fund Development Center.

Currently, the Can Tho City Land Fund Development Center does not have a Director. This agency has just been established on the basis of merging 3 former Land Fund Development Centers of Can Tho City, Soc Trang Province and Hau Giang Province.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee Tran Chi Hung emphasized that the City Land Fund Development Center was established on the basis of merging 3 units: Land Fund Development Center of Soc Trang Province, Hau Giang Province and Can Tho City before. The merger is not only a change in organization, but also a practical requirement in the context of regional development, aiming to improve the efficiency of land management, in line with the two-level local government model. Can Tho City, as the center of the Mekong Delta region, is being assigned greater responsibilities, with higher requirements for governance and investment attraction. Therefore, unifying the focal point and perfecting the organization is an inevitable step to improve the management capacity of large-scale, multi-sector projects. At the same time, the center's leaders are required to urgently perfect the apparatus, develop a specific action program, reform administrative procedures, and closely coordinate with departments, localities and enterprises to create a transparent and effective investment environment.
