Reviewing the outstanding indicators of the socio -economic situation in May, Director of the Department of Finance Le Thi Huynh Mai informed that compared to the same period in 2024, total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue are estimated at VND 544,447 billion, up 16.8%; export turnover is estimated at USD 20.36 billion, up 16.1%; total tourism revenue is estimated at VND 97,999 billion, up 28.9%, of which international visitors reached 3,123 million, up 40.2%.
The results of May recorded that the index of industrial production (IIP) increased by an estimated 8.2%. 13,894 new enterprises were established with a total registered and additional capital of VND313,756 billion, up 5.9% over the same period. Total state budget revenue reached over VND245.7 trillion, reaching 47.26% of the estimate; FDI attraction increased by 87.5%.
