On the morning of November 8, the Ho Chi Minh City Urban Infrastructure Construction Investment Project Management Board coordinated with units and institutes to award certificates to personnel participating in the BIM training course (Building Information Modeling and BIM Application Reporting for the Xuyen Tam Canal Project). The project has a total investment of nearly 17,300 billion VND.
Mr. Nguyen Hoang Anh Dung - Deputy Director of the HCM City Urban Infrastructure Construction Investment Project Management Board - emphasized that Building Information Modeling (BIM) is considered a trend in the modern construction industry. The application of new technologies such as BIM is no longer a choice, but an inevitable trend in construction.
Mr. Phan Nhat Linh - Head of Project Management Board 3 (in charge of the Xuyen Tam canal renovation project) - said that during the 4-month training period, the program will equip officers, engineers, and specialists with additional management knowledge suitable for digital transformation in the construction industry.
"BIM will be applied throughout from project planning to operation. The application helps coordinate and use technical data throughout the construction process. Enhance coordination between departments in using common data.
Not only does the application provide knowledge, it also increases the digital mindset of staff and develops Ho Chi Minh City in a smart and sustainable way. Among the 129 students, the age group of 30-39 is the majority, but still ensures diversity in age groups. I suggest that after finishing the course, you should quickly get to work," said Mr. Linh.
Mr. Tran Van Tam - Director of Ideco Vietnam (in charge of training) - said that for the Xuyen Tam canal renovation project, BIM will be applied to all stages of design, construction and operation.
