The female chess players of Ho Chi Minh City continued to demonstrate their superiority in all aspects when they won overwhelmingly in all four categories of standard, rapid, blitz and super blitz chess, winning all four championship titles along with many other second and third places. After 11 years of waiting, Dam Thi Thuy Dung won the national championship for the second time in the standard chess category, then won the blitz chess category to become the most successful female chess player at this tournament.

Nguyen Hoang Yen lost the championship title of standard chess but consoled herself with a gold medal in the super blitz chess event, which was held for the first time in the national tournament system. The "youngest sister" of the HCM City women's chess team, Lai Quynh Tien, also won the championship title of rapid chess.
Former 2022 national champion Nguyen Minh Nhat Quang's performance in the standard chess event was somewhat poor, but in return, he won the gold medal in the super blitz chess event and won the runner-up position in both the remaining events, rapid chess and blitz chess.
Lai Ly Huynh won the national standard chess championship for the 6th time.
Chess player Ha Van Tien had a successful season when he won a "double" of gold medals in rapid chess and blitz chess, contributing greatly to the second place achievement of Binh Phuoc team. Meanwhile, chess player Lai Ly Huynh brought home the only gold medal for Binh Duong in the standard chess event, the sixth national championship title for the current number 1 player in Vietnam (2013, 2014, 2016, 2018, 2021, 2025).
The 2025 National Chinese Chess Championship took place from April 19 to 27 in Ho Chi Minh City, with the participation of more than 100 players from 12 provinces, cities and sectors across the country. The players competed in 4 categories: standard chess, rapid chess, blitz chess and super blitz chess in both men's and women's categories.
