Ho Chi Minh City receives more than 174 billion VND to support people affected by storms and floods.

That number not only shows compassion, compatriotism, and national love, but also affirms the tradition of "HCM City for the whole country, with the whole country".

Promoting the tradition of "Mutual love", on the afternoon of October 29, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee - Ho Chi Minh City Relief Mobilization Committee continued to organize the reception of support for people to overcome damage caused by storms and floods.

Speaking at the reception, Mr. Phan Hong An, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Deputy Head of the Ho Chi Minh City Relief Mobilization Committee, said that as of October 28, the city's Relief Mobilization Committee had received more than 14,000 donations for people affected by storms and floods with a total amount of more than 174 billion VND.

At the same time, more than 10,000 family medicine bags, 50 tons of rice, 70 tons of essential goods and personal items with a total value of more than 5 billion VND were received.

Leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City received the support of AEON Group and presented a letter of thanks to the group.

The City Relief Mobilization Committee promptly organized working groups to directly visit and give gifts; distributed 7 funding batches and 4 batches of support goods to provinces and cities severely damaged by storms and floods with a total support value of more than 112 billion VND; thereby promptly sharing and helping people overcome difficulties, stabilize their lives and restore production.

"These numbers not only demonstrate compassion, compatriotism, and national love, but also affirm the tradition of "HCM City for the whole country, with the whole country", always being a pioneer, ready to share difficulties with people in areas affected by natural disasters and floods" - Mr. Phan Hong An emphasized.

He said all contributions from organizations and individuals will be used for the right purposes, promptly, effectively, and publicly on the media and the electronic information portal of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.

At the reception, 27 units, businesses, organizations and individuals registered and donated a total of more than 7.4 billion VND and 50,000 USD in money and goods, of which the goods were worth more than 2 billion VND.

Responding to the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, promoting the precious tradition of solidarity of our nation, with the spirit of "Mutual love", the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City called on people, agencies, organizations and businesses in the area to support people in provinces affected by storms and floods.
