Ho Chi Minh City organizes for intellectuals to 'return to their roots'

On September 19, the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee held its first meeting to prepare for the journey back to the source in 2025. The delegation participating in this journey back to the source included more than 110 people.

With the theme "Pride of intellectuals in the city named after Uncle Ho", the trip to the source will take place from September 23 to 27, 2025, organized by the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.

The journey to the source for Ho Chi Minh City intellectuals in 2025 will take place in Cao Bang, Tuyen Quang provinces and Hanoi, with the participation of more than 110 delegates representing socio -political organizations; intellectuals honored by the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Science and Technology Associations; outstanding intellectuals in the fields of health, education - training, science and technology, outstanding young citizens, Vietnamese intellectuals abroad...

The city's intellectuals will directly visit historical sites, "red addresses" - places bearing the mark of revolutionary activities of President Ho Chi Minh and previous generations of revolutionaries such as: Pac Bo special national relic site, visit the tomb of heroic martyr Kim Dong (Cao Bang province); offer incense at Uncle Ho Temple, visit Tan Trao special national relic site (Tuyen Quang); visit President Ho Chi Minh's mausoleum (Hanoi city)...

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Duong Anh Duc, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, emphasized   This trip back to the source is extremely special and meaningful. He hopes that the members will have a "practical - effective - safe - disciplined and joyful" journey.

Purpose of the trip to the source

According to the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, the trip to the source "Pride of intellectuals in the city named after Uncle Ho" aims to practically celebrate major holidays and important historical events of the country and the city, while expressing deep gratitude and remembrance of the heroic martyrs who heroically sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the nation.

The journey back to the source will help to arouse national pride and the will to serve the Fatherland in each participating delegate, especially young intellectuals, to understand more deeply the life and great revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh.

Thereby fostering patriotism, social responsibility, promoting the pioneering and creative role of intellectuals in the construction and development of a civilized, modern and humane Ho Chi Minh City; contributing to broad political and ideological orientation, raising awareness of the patriotic tradition, the resilient and indomitable revolutionary spirit of the Vietnamese people through important historical periods.
