Ho Chi Minh City is focusing on promoting digital transformation and greening in all fields.

In the context of globalization and the Fourth Industrial Revolution, digital transformation and green transformation are no longer options but inevitable requirements, determining the competitiveness of each country and each city. With a long-term vision, Ho Chi Minh City identifies “dual transformation” – digitalization and greening – as the path to realizing the goal of sustainable development, balancing economic growth and environmental protection.

According to the Standing Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Tho, the city is synchronously implementing solutions to create substantial changes, from perfecting institutions and policy mechanisms to encouraging businesses to invest in technological innovation, energy saving, renewable energy development and building a circular economic model. The goal is to form a green, high-tech industrial ecosystem, in which the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park is oriented to become the first pioneering model towards "net zero" in the country.

Not only focusing on infrastructure and technology, the city also focuses on developing high-quality human resources and innovation capacity. Head of the Ho Chi Minh City Hi-Tech Park Management Board Nguyen Ky Phung said that digital transformation and greening are decisive requirements for sustainable development. The city is mobilizing knowledge, financial and technological resources from the public - private - international sectors, to create a favorable environment for technology enterprises and startups to develop digital solutions and smart ecological products, contributing to the goal of net zero emissions by 2050.

According to Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Science and Technology Associations Nguyen Van Phuoc, Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park has gone beyond the role of a mere manufacturing industrial park to become a comprehensive innovation ecosystem. This is a gathering place for the world's leading technology corporations, research centers, business incubators and high-quality human resource training, playing a leading role in spreading the spirit of innovation and developing green technology throughout the region.

Ho Chi Minh City aims for the digital economy to account for 30-40% of GRDP and become an international-standard innovation center.

In fact, after more than two decades of development, Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park has gone beyond the role of a mere manufacturing industrial park, becoming a comprehensive innovation ecosystem - a convergence of the world's leading technology corporations, research institutes, incubation centers and high-tech human resource training. This is the foundation for the city to lead strategic technology trends such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, biotechnology, new materials... into production and life practices.

According to international experts, integrating digital technology strategy with green development solutions not only helps promote economic growth but also ensures social integration and environmental protection. That is the right direction for Ho Chi Minh City to develop sustainably, contribute to the common goals of the country and affirm its position as the leading economic and technological center in the region.
