Ho Chi Minh City: Building a green park at land plot No. 01 Ly Thai To Street

The Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee directed units to urgently hand over land plot No. 01 Ly Thai To Street, Vuon Lai Ward to build a green park, a playground for the community, and a memorial for Covid victims, to be put into use before the Lunar New Year 2026.

The Office of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City has just issued Document No. 9550/VP-DT on the plan to renovate land plot No. 01 Ly Thai To Street, Vuon Lai Ward.

Accordingly, implementing the direction of the Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee at the meeting on October 27 on the plan to renovate the above land, the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee directed the Department of Agriculture and Environment to urgently hand over the above land to the sponsor (Sun Group Joint Stock Company) no later than October 31 so that the sponsor can build a green park, a playground for the community, and a memorial for Covid victims; complete and put into use before Lunar New Year 2026.

Assign the Department of Planning and Architecture to organize the inventory, assessment and classification of villas on the land before November 10. At the same time, guide the People's Committee of Vuon Lai Ward to organize the establishment of local adjustments to the 1/2000 scale zoning plan on the above land.

The Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee assigned the Department of Culture and Sports to organize online consultation on the design ideas for the park proposed by the sponsor within 15 days. After that, the comments will be compiled and sent to the sponsor to complete the design plan.

Assign the Director of the Department of Construction to be directly responsible for directing the construction of the park until its completion and putting it into use. At the same time, urgently establish an investment project to expand Tran Binh Trong Street using the city's budget.

According to research, the above land area is about 44,312 m2. The entire campus includes 7 villas belonging to the Government Guest House, currently vacant.
