Currently, the Front’s staff and volunteers are working continuously at 19 receiving points, ensuring that each box is packed, loaded onto vehicles and shipped according to the needs of each locality. Speeding up the progress helps to promptly support people in flood-affected areas to stabilize their lives after natural disasters.

On November 24, the activities of receiving goods at the headquarters of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City (55 Mac Dinh Chi) and the Youth Cultural House, the Labor Culture Palace of Ho Chi Minh City... were still taking place continuously and were becoming overloaded.
People carrying boxes of noodles, drinking water, rice, medicine, etc. lined up in an orderly manner to send gifts to people in flooded areas. At the receiving points, the goods were sorted, packaged, and loaded onto trucks immediately after being received. Hundreds of volunteers were present from dawn to maintain the sorting activity. Each package was processed according to the correct group of necessities, ensuring quick transportation and distribution.

At the Youth Cultural House, over the past few days, hundreds of volunteers, mainly students and Youth Union members, have lined up and passed each package onto the truck. Everyone coordinated smoothly and without interruption, creating a continuous transportation chain for many hours.
Director Co Tan Minh Quang, representative of the Ho Chi Minh City Artist Volunteer Team, said that the artists proactively came early to join the youth force and people in sorting the goods. “We are not afraid of heavy work. Each box of noodles, bag of rice, barrel of water or bale of blankets is passed around continuously. Artists or anyone here work with the same goal: to bring goods to people as quickly as possible,” Quang shared.

According to Director Co Tan Minh Quang, in recent days, many artists in Ho Chi Minh City have temporarily put aside their performance and filming schedules to volunteer. The atmosphere at the reception point is always lively and filled with a spirit of solidarity.
The image of artists standing side by side with students, workers, union officials, all forming a smooth transportation chain, is a testament to the affection that the people of Ho Chi Minh City have for their fellow countrymen in the flood-hit areas. Each package loaded onto the truck is not only goods but also a responsible sharing of the community.

Similarly, at the Labor Culture Palace, the Cultural House of Ho Chi Minh City National University, neighborhood headquarters, People's Committee headquarters of wards... many volunteers are still working diligently.
Nhat Nam, a student at Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport, said that for the past two days he has been at the Labor Culture Palace, helping everyone sort and carefully package goods to send to people in flooded areas. “I just hope the goods will be delivered as soon as possible. People in flooded areas are in need every hour, so none of us want to be late,” Nhat Nam said.

Along with the involvement of the authorities, thousands of people in Ho Chi Minh City have voluntarily brought goods to the reception points of the City Fatherland Front Committee in recent days. People come and go continuously, carrying boxes of noodles, water, bags of rice or bags of clothes.
Many people did not rush to leave after handing out the gifts but stayed behind to help sort, pack, carry, and help the volunteer teams load the goods onto trucks so they could be delivered to the central provinces in time. They all shared the same wish: that the relief gifts reach the people as quickly as possible.

Mr. Tang Huu Song Binh, an expert from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, said that in recent days, the maximum number of volunteers has been mobilized to meet the sudden increase in the volume of relief goods. “Volunteers in Ho Chi Minh City, including youth union members from universities and colleges, have been mobilized to receive and classify goods before transferring them to trucks to the provinces. Currently, there are about 200 members participating regularly. On November 22, the Youth Cultural House was full of goods and we had to move to another location to continue sorting. Everyone worked with the spirit of 'helping each other' and continuously received calls from people asking for donations of goods," Mr. Binh shared.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Fatherland Front Committee, the biggest priority in this campaign is to meet the urgent needs of people in flooded areas. Essential items such as clean water, food, medicine, life jackets, medical supplies and food are being transported first. Next is the need to support the restoration of schools, houses and civil works after the water recedes.
By closely following local realities, the working groups quickly provided support to isolated residential areas, severely damaged schools, and areas at risk of disease outbreaks.

As of the morning of November 24, the amount of relief goods poured into 19 receiving points of the Ho Chi Minh City Fatherland Front Committee had exceeded 1,000 tons, forcing the unit to adjust the receiving method to ensure effective operation and delivery of goods to the people of the Central region.
With the aim of speeding up the distribution process, the Ho Chi Minh City Fatherland Front Committee has also announced a temporary suspension of receiving goods directly at the points, shifting to focusing on transporting the remaining goods and encouraging people to support by cash or bank transfer so that post-flood relief and reconstruction can be carried out promptly and according to needs.

A representative of the Ho Chi Minh City Fatherland Front Committee said that this was a necessary decision in the context that resources must be flexibly coordinated to avoid congestion and ensure goods reach people as soon as possible.
"In recent days, the affection of the people for the Central region is extremely precious. However, to make the distribution and reception work most effective, we hope that people will accompany and share the adjustments of the Ho Chi Minh City Fatherland Front," this representative shared.

Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, emphasized that the City not only contributed resources but also directly participated in coordinating, transporting and supervising the relief process. "We will continue to accompany the localities until the people overcome the difficulties," Mr. Loc added.
According to Mr. Loc, in the following days, the large-scale relief campaign of Ho Chi Minh City will continue to be deployed with many consecutive trips departing from dawn to late evening to speed up the distribution of relief goods to the hands of people in flood-affected areas. The cooperation of the government, functional forces, youth volunteers, social organizations, businesses and thousands of people is creating a great strength, helping Ho Chi Minh City become an important support for the Central Highlands in the most difficult period.
