On November 3, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hue City sent a document to its affiliated units and communes and wards to proactively deploy measures to respond to heavy rains, floods, landslides and storm No. 13 (storm KALMAEGI).

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism requires units to ensure absolute safety for people, property and the system of relics and museums in the area.

Urgently review, inspect, and reinforce facilities at relic sites, museums, libraries, cultural houses, and sports centers.

At the same time, strengthen measures to prevent local flooding, especially at warehouses storing artifacts, documents, books, newspapers and specialized equipment.

Units are required to move important documents, artifacts, and equipment such as computers, projectors, sound systems, etc. to safe places; ensure the safety of electrical and lighting systems at relic sites and museums.

The People's Committees of communes and wards are requested to closely coordinate with relic management agencies to implement relic protection plans according to the "four on-site" motto. Proactively protect the relic system and cultural facilities, contributing to minimizing damage when storms and floods occur.

In addition, it is necessary to install barriers and warning signs in areas at risk of landslides and falls to ensure the safety of residents and tourists.

Hue City Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism requests agencies and units to seriously and promptly implement measures to prevent natural disasters.

During the flood from October 26 to 30, many relics in Hue City were flooded. The Hue Imperial City was flooded nearly 1.5 meters, and some palaces were flooded. The response forces promptly moved and protected the artifacts and ensured the safety of property at the relics.
