According to the Center, this decision was made due to the influence of the cold air mass combined with the East wind disturbance, causing heavy to very heavy rain in Hue city, and the water level of the Perfume River and low-lying areas to rise again. The temporary suspension of receiving visitors is to ensure absolute safety for visitors and workers in the relic area.
The temporary closure will last until the weather stabilizes, floodwaters recede, and safety conditions are restored. The Center will have a specific announcement on the reopening time on official information channels.
The Hue Monuments Conservation Center hopes to receive sympathy from local people and visitors, and recommends following the latest updates before planning a visit.
Previously, during the flood in late October, the Center also temporarily stopped receiving visitors from noon on October 27 and reopened on October 31 after completing the cleanup and flood recovery work.
