Tea holds a unique cultural significance, and enjoying a cup of tea is also about appreciating that culture. Vietnamese tea culture and tea art are always accompanied by beautiful rituals, such as younger generations brewing tea for elders, and hosts brewing tea for visiting guests. Sitting around a warm teapot, enjoying the aroma and sweet taste of tea while chatting about even the smallest things in life, especially during Tet (Vietnamese New Year), people exchange best wishes for a prosperous new year. Therefore, tea is given special attention by families during Tet; the tea served to guests during Tet must always be of high quality to show hospitality.
According to research by leading experts, tea is not only a beverage deeply rooted in cultural identity but also possesses therapeutic value, helping to improve blood circulation, acting as a diuretic, fighting cancer, detoxifying the body, regulating blood pressure, and promoting healthy skin and figure. However, depending on the specific user, there are different types of tea suitable for maximizing their effects.
Understanding the unique nature of tea as a pure beverage, made solely from green tea buds and processed through various methods without any additives, VinaTea has brought to the world a delicious drink, appreciated only by the senses of the drinker.
Vinatea boasts a significant advantage: a vast raw material area of 4,700 hectares in the most superior tea-growing regions of the Northern Midlands and Mountains. Over the years, with a commitment to pursuing a clean tea strategy, Vinatea has implemented a profound revolution to improve its raw material areas and establish new standards in tea cultivation. Accordingly, all raw material areas under the company's management must adhere to strict standards regarding soil cleaning and cultivation-harvesting processes to ensure the quality of the tea plants and thoroughly address the problem of pesticide residue. To date, all Vinatea products brought to market are guaranteed by this safe origin.
Vinatea is one of the first tea brands in Vietnam, established in 1958. Its predecessor was a state-owned enterprise under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development , and it was later transformed into a joint-stock company in December 2015 under Decision 864 of the Prime Minister, renamed the Vietnam Tea Corporation.
Established for many years and with a large company scale, Vinatea owns numerous tea plantations and tea processing factories stretching from North to South Vietnam, including regions such as Phu Tho, Moc Chau, Yen Bai, Thai Nguyen, and Ha Tinh , with large tea growing areas and high productivity and quality. Building on this solid foundation, Vinatea has continued to grow stronger, becoming the renowned brand it is today.
Despite being a company with a long history in Vietnam, Vinatea's retail products are not yet widely available and popular in the domestic market. This is a difficulty and a challenge for Vinatea, as many domestic tea brands have emerged and gained popularity among consumers.
Therefore, to win over domestic consumers, Vinatea always focuses on product quality, aiming to provide a clean, fragrant, and healthy tea product that earns the favor of consumers.
Based on these development strategies, Vinatea has implemented improvement activities throughout the country, including improving tea varieties, cleaning the soil, establishing specific rules and standards for cultivation, harvesting, and tea processing, ensuring increasingly superior product quality.
Vinatea was recognized as a National Brand in 2020. This recognition from the state and consumers is for the oldest national brand in Vietnam's tea industry. The company offers more than 10 brands divided into 3 categories: Premium teas (white tea, sencha, shan snow tea, etc.), popular teas (green tea, jasmine tea, etc.), and herbal teas.
