The inauguration ceremonies of President To Lam yesterday (May 22) and of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man on May 20 were closely followed by people and voters nationwide.

Under the red flag with yellow star, the leaders of the State and the National Assembly swore "Absolute loyalty to the Fatherland, to the people, to the Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and to strive to fulfill the tasks assigned by the Party, State and People".

The inaugural speeches of new President To Lam and new National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man left many impressions and expectations on voters and people nationwide.

The messages of the leaders delivered from Dien Hong Hall have become and will become a solid support to strengthen people's trust, creating an important foundation for mobilizing the strength of the entire nation with the common will to build and firmly protect the socialist Fatherland of Vietnam.

In their inaugural speeches, the leaders shared many things. According to President To Lam, under the wise, talented and sensitive leadership of the Party, the decisive participation of the entire political system; the joint efforts and consensus of the people; the support and assistance of international friends, our country has never had the foundation, potential, prestige and international position as it does today.

General To Lam emphasized that these are extremely important premises for him to be able to fulfill his assigned responsibilities as President. On the other hand, this also sets higher requirements and expectations in the new development stage to create new miracles.

General To Lam also affirmed that he will closely coordinate with relevant agencies, focusing on effectively implementing the tasks of building and perfecting laws; building the State in the new period; creating a modern, effective, advanced, and developed national governance system with a professional and modern administration and judiciary.

Independence, sovereignty, unity, territorial integrity, national and ethnic interests are paramount; the happiness and prosperity of the people are first.

In his speech, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man affirmed to ensure the highest national interests and the legitimate rights, interests and aspirations of the people. To be steadfast, consistent and uphold the Party's working principles and legal regulations in the face of new difficulties and challenges of the country.

The new National Assembly Chairman pledged to make the greatest efforts and determination to work with the entire Party, people and army to successfully achieve the goal of building a prosperous and civilized country with a prosperous and happy people.

It is an honor, but also a great responsibility, a trust with voters nationwide, that the leaders of the State and the National Assembly shoulder.
