Taking place from June 1 to 8, Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2024 is not only an opportunity to promote the natural and cultural beauty of Ninh Binh, but also an occasion to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Trang An landscape complex being recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage.
This year's tourism week begins with a program to experience Tam Coc rice fields on June 1.
Visitors will be able to participate in the traditional agricultural ceremony to celebrate the new rice harvest, which takes place on 63 boats carrying agricultural products.
The journey from Tam Coc wharf to Ba cave, upstream of Ngo Dong river, creates a beautiful natural landscape, bringing visitors back to the roots of agriculture.
Here, visitors can directly participate in harvesting rice and admire the art painting "Shepherd playing the flute" depicted on the background of a brilliant golden rice field.
One of the highlights of the event is the night walking street, taking place on the road from Dong Gung bus station to Nam Hoa restaurant.
The walking street will come alive with folk art performances such as ca tru, cheo singing, xam singing, water puppetry and traditional musical instrument performances.
This is a great opportunity for visitors to immerse themselves in the traditional cultural atmosphere and experience the unique cultural features of Ninh Binh.
The tourism week also includes many activities to promote the image of Ninh Binh land and people.
Visitors will be able to admire traditional handicraft products, participate in the Tam Coc Golden Season photo tour, survey and introduce Ninh Binh tourism products, and have an art photo exhibition with the theme "Tam Coc Golden Season - Trang An".
Art performances such as water puppetry, cheo singing, xam singing, and goat fighting competitions will also be interesting highlights attracting a large number of tourists.
The opening ceremony on the evening of June 1 is expected to be attended by more than 10,000 delegates, tourists and people.
The opening ceremony will take place at Dong Gung bus station, with performances by many famous singers such as Ha Anh Tuan and Hoa Minzy, promising to bring a vibrant and memorable night.
In addition, the Organizing Committee has implemented many plans to ensure security, order, traffic safety, environmental sanitation and food safety to ensure the event is successful and safe.
