Ms. Lai Thi To Uyen, a visitor from Bac Ninh province, shared: This is the first time I have come here to visit and experience the fruit garden at the Bac Ha Vegetable and Fruit Research and Production Center. The scenery here is very beautiful, the trees and leaves are green, especially the strawberries grown here are very sweet and fragrant. Not only do I enjoy them in the garden, I also buy them as gifts for everyone at home.
As a resident of Bac Ha town, when visiting the ripe strawberry garden, Ms. Pham Thi Mai said: I found the strawberry garden here clean and delicious, so I picked some to soak in sugar to drink to cool down in the summer. The price is also very reasonable.
Not far from the strawberry garden is the peach garden, which is also in the fruiting season. The French peach trees have bright green leaves, each branch is laden with fruit, some of which are gradually turning pink, making them attractive just by looking at them. In the past two weeks, the French peach garden has attracted tourists to visit and experience peach picking in the garden.
Ms. Trieu Thi Nay, Vo Lao commune, Van Ban district said: I have heard for a long time that there are beautiful peach and plum gardens here, but today is the first time I have had the chance to experience it. The peach garden here is very beautiful, the fruit is big and delicious. The climate in Bac Ha is cool and pleasant, the people are friendly and sociable. Next month when the plum garden is ripe, my family will return to the Bac Ha Vegetable and Fruit Research and Production Center to have more experiences picking ripe plums in the garden.
Bac Ha Vegetable and Fruit Research and Production Camp is about 1 km from the center of Bac Ha town, located at the foot of Co Tien mountain, at an altitude of nearly 1,000 m above sea level, with a total area of over 13 hectares. At Bac Ha Vegetable and Fruit Research and Production Camp, on the occasion of the April 30 and May 1 holidays this year, visitors can not only explore and experience strawberry gardens, ripe peach gardens, but also temperate fruit tree nurseries; plum gardens full of branches, sunflower gardens, rose gardens, and Sa Pa old roses in full bloom. In recent days, the officers and staff of the Camp have been actively preparing conditions to welcome visitors.
Mr. Nguyen Manh Duong, Deputy Head of the Bac Ha Vegetable and Fruit Research and Production Farm, said: The Bac Ha Vegetable and Fruit Research and Production Farm is a place to preserve and conserve temperate vegetable and fruit genetic resources such as plums, pears, peaches, and persimmons. Recently, the Farm has been recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as a provincial-level tourist destination. The Farm has welcomed many domestic and foreign delegations to visit and experience. In preparation for the April 30 and May 1 holidays this year, the unit has cleaned, sanitized, and taken care of the garden, planted flower gardens for visitors to check in such as butterfly flower gardens, rose gardens, and canola flowers... In addition, when coming to the Farm, visitors can also experience picking fruits in the garden such as strawberries, peaches, and plums and buy them as gifts.
In the summer of 2025, on the “white plateau” of Bac Ha, along with familiar destinations such as Bac Ha market, Hoang A Tuong ancient mansion, community tourism village in Ta Chai commune, Ban Pho commune… there will be a new tourist destination with attractive experiences, which is Bac Ha Vegetable and Fruit Research and Production Camp.
