Opal Suchata Chuangsri's victory received the approval of international beauty fans. She was considered a strong candidate right from the start of the competition in India.
The 21-year-old beauty is a Law student at Thammasat University, majoring in International Relations. She can speak English and Mandarin. Opal is running a hotel business in Phuket, Thailand.
Opal competed in Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico and won the third runner-up title. She was then appointed to represent Thailand at Miss World 2025. The Miss Universe Organizing Committee has decided to strip Opal of her third runner-up title.
Third runner-up was awarded to the beauty from Martinique, second runner-up to the beauty from Poland, and first runner-up to the representative from Ethiopia.
In the Miss World 2025 final, the jury selected the top 40 according to 4 continental regions, then narrowed it down to the top 20, top 8 and top 4. Each continental region will have one winner, competing for the title of Miss and 3 runners-up.
After the opening performance of the Miss World 2025 final night, 108 contestants appeared in traditional costumes and dances of their countries. This year, the contestants were divided into 4 continents including Asia - Pacific , Europe, America and the Caribbean, and Africa.
Contestants from each region and territory performed in evening gowns. Vietnam's representative - Huynh Tran Y Nhi - wore a blue evening gown, the signature color of the Miss World contest.
After the evening gown competition, the contestants entered the traditional costume performance of India - the host country of the 72nd Miss World. Recently, Y Nhi and the contestants explored the culture and history of the Telangana region of India.
The organizers reviewed the sub-contests and winners before announcing the top 40. 16 faces won tickets straight to the top 40 through the sports, talent, eloquence (Head to Head Challenge), Top Model, charity project, and media rounds.
The 10 contestants selected in the Americas and Caribbean region include Trinidad & Tobago, Martinique, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Argentina, Brazil, Haiti, Jamaica, Panama, and the United States. The 10 contestants selected in the Africa region include Zambia, Namibia, Uganda, Cameroon, Botswana, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Somalia, Tunisia, and Zimbabwe.
The 10 European beauties in the top 40 include Wales, Serbia, Ireland, Italy, Northern Ireland, Poland, Estonia, Ukraine, Belgium, Montenegro. The 10 beauties in the Asia-Pacific region in the top 40 are India, Thailand, Türkiye, Indonesia, Malaysia, Australia, Lebanon, New Zealand, Philippines and Vietnam.
The organizers continued to announce the top 20, including 5 contestants from each continent. The top 20 include contestants from Argentina, Brazil, Martinique, Puerto Rico, USA, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Namibia, Nigeria, Tunisia, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Ukraine, Wales, Australia, India, Lebanon, Philippines, Thailand.
From the top 20, the organizers announced the top 8, including 2 contestants from each continent. The top 8 included contestants from Brazil, Martinique, Ethiopia, Namibia, Poland, Ukraine, Philippines, and Thailand.
