Lao Cai border gate customs collects budget revenue exceeding the target assigned by the Ministry of Finance.

As of October 26, Lao Cai Border Gate Customs collected 978.1 billion VND in state budget revenue, equal to 108.7% of the Ministry of Finance's target; striving to complete the target assigned by the Provincial People's Committee in 2025 of 1,250 billion VND.

Every day there are about 500 vehicles importing and exporting goods.

Mr. Tran Anh Tu - Captain of Lao Cai International Border Gate Customs Team (Customs Sub-Department of Region VII) said that promoting administrative procedure reform and improving the efficiency of trade transactions has helped businesses reduce costs, save time and increase competitiveness.

Import and export activities take place smoothly and quickly.

Thanks to that, Lao Cai Border Gate Customs has soon completed the state budget collection in 2025 assigned by the Ministry of Finance . Specifically, the unit collected import and export tax of 978.1 billion VND, equal to 108.7% of the Ministry of Finance's target, an increase of 43.4% over the same period in 2024 (678.3 billion VND), reaching 78.2% of the target assigned by the Provincial People's Committee (1,250 billion VND) and reaching 93.1% of the target of the Customs Branch of Region VII (1,050 billion VND).

According to assessments, customs clearance activities at Kim Thanh International Road Border Gate No. II have been smooth since the beginning of the year, with no congestion.

Main export items include: peeled wood, fresh fruit, dried cassava, confectionery, footwear, phosphate products exported through border gates... Import items include: fertilizer; vegetables and fruits; coke; chemicals; confectionery; machinery, equipment and electric energy.

Currently, the number of vehicles clearing customs at the border gate maintains an average of about 500 vehicles/day, of which 425 are imported vehicles/day, the rest are exported vehicles.

It is known that recently, Lao Cai Border Gate Customs has effectively implemented electronic customs procedures and the VNACCS/VCIS one-stop mechanism, creating favorable conditions for businesses and attracting more units to participate in import and export activities.
