Russian plane carries 30 tons of emergency aid for Vietnamese people in flood-hit areas

On October 30, a plane of the Russian Federal Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) landed at Noi Bai International Airport, carrying 30 tons of humanitarian aid for people in the northern and central provinces of Vietnam affected by recent natural disasters.

The aid shipment includes food, tents, necessities and medicine.

The plane of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations carries emergency aid to Vietnamese people in provinces suffering from serious natural disasters.

The Russian Embassy in Hanoi said that this aid was carried out under the direction of the Government of the Russian Federation, demonstrating friendship and solidarity with the Vietnamese people.

In recent days, provinces and cities in Central Vietnam, such as Hue, Da Nang and Quang Ngai, have faced serious flooding as flood levels exceeded historical peaks, causing great damage to property and seriously affecting people's lives.

Previously, the northern provinces, especially Thai Nguyen , experienced a rare flood in history.

As of October 25, countries and international organizations have provided and pledged to provide Vietnam with a total of more than 9.39 million USD in cash and in kind (equivalent to more than 240 billion VND).

The aid includes cash, agricultural livelihood restoration support, bottled drinking water, water filtration equipment, blankets, plastic water tanks, multi-purpose plastic sheets, personal hygiene kits, household kits, home repair kits, kitchen kits, and school supplies for people affected by natural disasters in many provinces and cities.
